Just out of curiosity (and because I can't be bothered checking them all myself) how many Clubs Internet sites have forums/message boards for fans to leave comments?

The Crows took away their message board, as they were afraid of getting sued due to the "insulting" messages fans were leaving after five losses in a row earlier in the season. However, on the news last night Channel 9 showed Geelong's internet message board, which also had irate messages from fans angry about the loss to St Kilda. Obviously they aren't concerned about law suits. I personally think the Crows were being precious and they've certainly lost a lot of "hits" to their site due to the demise of their message board.

The Saint Kilda one has certainly been getting heavy traffic this year...

The West Coast one is just a chat room for horrid teenage girlies - ugh!

I did not see the story on channel 9 about the irate Geelong supporters but I can not believe that supposed reputable television stations and newspapers place so much emphasis on the views of a few people on the internet.

One brainbox from the Herald-Sun quoted a few people from our fan forum immediately after the loss to the bulldogs, one of whom spoke about jumping off the Westgate Bridge and another offering to sell/give away their membership.

Almost as reliable as journalists writing articles on the problems at St Kilda but only bothering to quote Stan Alves. So much for providing an objective article.

Yes, sports journalists and so-called experts are not at the top of my Christmas card list this year.
