He's the guy from CNN who interviewed HanAssholeSolo. CNN have also reiterated that he is an adult male.

You can question the reliability of CNN as a source if you'd like, and I certainly find their practices questionable, but they had direct contact with the person and it would be too big a risk for them to lie about it.

If they lie and say he's an adult, and then the guy comes out and says "I am actually 15", the blowback would be immense. They wouldn't do that. They interviewed him and know he's an adult.

The problem is the guy has already been caught lying once. At first he said that the redditor apologised after CNN contacted him. Then once he caught some blowback, he changed his story to say that the guy apologised before he was ever contacted by CNN.

I would call that balanced news reporting.
