Oh FFS, Mr. Carey has been in the dressing rooms for 5 minutes during one recently completed home test series! Kudos to the media for trying, but Carey's related comments to this drama are about as relevant as most BF expert posters..!

To be fair while im not sure i would have said it in the media what he said was 1000 % right and pat essentially deliberately lied in a press conference he cant very well now complain about others using the same vehicle (press) to call him out on it. I think it shows what a mess CA have created and its going to get worse long before it gets better.

The players got what they (allegedly) wanted. Why would they sick the boot into Langer now? It serves no purpose and would come off as ungracious. Besides, it's entirely possible to like the guy on a personal level, respect his feats as a player, and yet not want him as a coach.

Pat didnt lie all he said there was process being undertaken and it was up to Cricket Australia to make the final call.

Which was the case at the time on Thursday. CA met on Friday.

There is not much more he can do or say at the time.

CA board are within their rights to take players feedback on but also make a decision thats for the best interests for Australian Cricket not just the players.

Pat's biggest mistake was doing the media rounds before a decision was made.

And CA diddy daddling to finally making a decision in the process throwing Cummins and Langer under the bus at the same time. Takes a special organization to do that.

If he comes out and says what he really thinks about Langer - I.e he’s a halfwit with chronic mood swings that’s past his used by date then he’d get criticised as being disrespectful. He can’t really win.

Sorry, but I'm not sure I understand your assertion here..?
I must of missed it, so please quote what Cummins has allegedly said, which you interpret as a 'deliberately lie' - and related, what exactly is he 'being called out on'..?
 
Serious question what difference would it make if cummins flat out said there was a huge rift with langer and that the senior men find working with him intolerable?

What then? the people here saying langer is simply misunderstood and that the players are just soft wouldnt say ok fair enough pat we get it now they would continue to say langer was right and the players are too soft, it wouldnt change anybodys views on this at all.

Heavy lies the head that wears the crown and all that - he led his little revolution, thanks in large part to Cricket Australia's incompetence he now gets to own the consequences.

Up to him and the board whether they think they can ride it out, I guess.
