IF Mick decides to pull the pin or IF he can't turn the club around and is shown the door, they I would hope to hell that we scour the nation for the best coach available at that point in time. One who is willing to buy into the club 110%.

At the moment, candidates would be (including some coaches currently at other clubs that I rate) in no particular order:

• Alistair Clarkson
• Ken Hinkley
• Guy McKenna
• Stuart Dew
• Brendan Bolton
• Nathan Bassett
• Simon Black* (yet to see if he can coach, but he's a legend and a smart guy)
• Matthew Scarlett

Nah, not really. Buckley could have coached the WEagles to a flag in the middle of last decade, they were a pretty amazing team. And it went all downhill from there.

Was wondering the same, don't like how they went down hill. I do wonder how many of the players the Eagles had arrived in Worsfold's time.

I think you need to look at the trades a club makes while a coach is there to get a good grip on whether they can manage a list or not as well as premierships. The top coaches trade players who look like they can play for picks and players who turn out to be more useful.
