Coaches of the future - who do you think they are?

In 5 years time, who do you think will be coaching your side? I'm predicting that Guy McKenna and John Worsfold would be at the helm of the eagles - I'm tipping Judge leaves us or we sack him at the end of 2000

Two who could coach - but will probably pursue interests elsewhere

Paul Salmon

Nick Holland

Craig Bradley would make a good coach. I agree that Judge will be sacked. Hring him and letting Malthouse go was the biggest mistake they ever made. Malthouse going to Collingwood hasn't done much good. Bet he's sorry he bothered.

We didn't let Mick go though, he was bought by Eddie. Did you know he alledgedly offered to give Micks daughter a 'much better' job at Channel 9? But she decided to stay at Ch10 in Perth.

I doubt we'd have even thought about changing coaches if Mick and Eddie hadn't 'done breakfast'!

We're just filling in time til Whoosha comes home!

A few supporters were upset and confused when Whoosha went east to get an assistant role at Carlton, but we know that he's just getting a few secrets from Parkin and Brittan (the best coach and assistant going round these days) plus a year in the media for experience to come home and coach the mighty eagles in a few years time.

Coaches that will be gone in 5 years?

Tim Watson - obviously.
Kevin Sheedy - cant see him extending his contract another time.
David Parkin - doesn't coach now anyway
Ken Judge - will just disappear
Mark Williams - a failure
Mick Malthouse - 5 years of low finishes will be enough
Leigh Matthews - will have proved his point
Garry Ayres - found out

Replacements?
Drum will move back to a Melbourne club, perhaps St Kilda. Bomber Thompson to Essendon.

New coaches?

Stephen Williams - Port Power
Brittan(spel) - Carlton (obvious)
Worsfold - West Coast
Guy McKenna or Chris Mainwaring - Freo
Darrell Hart - Adelaide
Paul Salmon - perhaps Geelong
Nathan Buckley - Collingwood (can do anything)
Peter Rhode - Brisbane (dark horse)

So the final positions in 2005 with their coaches and capitains

1/- Richmond, Frawley, Ottens
2/- Essendon (still), Thomson, Lloyd
3/- Freemantle, McKenna/Mainwaring, Haselby
4/- Kangaroos, Pagan, Harvey
5/- Adelaide, Hart, Johnson
6/- Hawthorn, Schwab, Crawford
7/- Geelong, Salmon, King
8/- West Coast, Worsfold, Cousins

9/- StKilda, Drum, Everitt
10/- Bulldogs, Wallace, N Brown
11/- Brisbane, Rhode, Leppitsch
12/- Port Adelaide, S Williams, Wilson
13/- Sydney, Eade, Goodes
14/- Melbourne, Daniher, Gehrig
15/- Carlton, Brittan, Whitnall
16/- Collingwood, Buckley, Buckley

Sorry mate I don't know what came over me.

I did consider Nathan as Captain Coach of Buckleywood but didn't think Eddie would have that.

Thats a HUGE call Servo
Especially about sheedy, You know he always come good in the last year of his contract, and if the players want him to stay and the supporters do to then the board will go along
as for Thompson I think this year has been a bit of a fluke for the Cats and he will end up somewhere like St Kilda
