Maybe. Don't forget Caddy was horrible against Fremantle in the Qualifying Final. It wasn't like he had a great finals series. He had a great half against Hawthorn in the Prelim, but to that point that was by far the best footy we'd seen from him.

Caddy was great in the first quarter against Freemantle and then injured himself and played on the injury for the next 3 quarters. he then missed the Port game because of the injury. You cant evaluate Caddy on the Freo game.

Was he? He had 8 touches for the match. Missed an absolute sitter too very early on.

You're right, you can't evaluate him on one game, but it goes both ways. You also can't isolate the 2nd half of the Prelim and infer he played at that level all season because he simply didn't. He had and still has had in 2014 good games and quiet games. Part of the development of a young player. Good thing is he's getting better.

yep its all about potential at this point with Caddy regarding the hype. he doesnt have the runs on the board yet to be regarded a top 10 player. but when fit he is clearly in the starting 22 for mine based on what he is already displaying. 15-20 possessions a game when fit with 3 to 4 damaging breaks through the lines. thats more than what our other young players are putting up with the exception of Guthrie.

He's not quite at that level yet. Definitely on an upward curve, but needs to start having 20+ possession games now.

I think you can isolate that half because it was a preliminary final and he rose to the occasion when we needed him, which is really exciting for his future. IMO he was a 3 goal difference during that 3rd term
