Can't believe they are considering appealing the charge? On what planet is there an excusable defence for eye gouging?

    Did LOL.

I hope they challenge it and he trots out that line for the tribunal.

"I didn't want to poke him in the eye but we are not allowed to whack blokes anymore. If anything it is Gil and Lethlain's fault."

Then Richo can go on 360 and say "We didn't quite get that one right"

I'm surprised Nyhuis only got 1 vote. I thought he was better than both Mullett and Brown.

Both coaches agree Fyfe was BOG and Higgins was 3rd best on bu 2nd best, 4th and 5th best were completely different players, interesting.

Second week that the player Suban has tagged has been given votes? Danger and Higgins?

So what. He's given tough jobs, and Fyfe got off the chain. He's important for Fyfe.

I thought Blakely was our 2nd best player by daylight. Astounded one of the coaches thought he wasn't in the best 5 on the ground.

Not necessarily true, they could have disagreed about Walters.

I had it as Fyfe, Higgins, blakely, brown, then raffle the last vote

Blakely's 4th game with votes, only Walters ahead of him (with 5).

Was probably Simpson that gave him votes since he contributed massively to them winning the game.

Just to point out how broken the player ratings are - They rated Brad's game yesterday higher than his game vs the Bombers when he absolutely dominated.

Yes and no. Brad made some terrible blunders with those final kicks into 50 or at goal, but he also did lots right. He gave us tremendous drive and some of our better movements before those last shots involved him. I don't think it's that controversial at all to consider him one of the better players on the day - I thought so myself.

I do. His mistakes were that bad that it took from the good work that he did. For an outside mid with elite skills to finish with a disposal efficiency of 50% is disgraceful and no where near good enough imo.

he missed 3 straight forward goals and turned the ball over 3-4 times into the f50 which went straight over his head for a goal. Considering we only lost by a couple of goals I think it is controversial to give him votes...

Yeah, sure. I think saying it's not controversial isn't quite right - it is. What I'm saying is I can see why coaches might see a lot of good in his game too. Put it this way, if he wasn't there, we wouldn't have had half the chances we did to then be complaining about. Now not taking those chances is clearly a problem and not commendable, but getting it there is something.

It's also a comparative thing. Lets face it, there weren't a lot of sensational players on the day on either team. Even someone like Duggan, we made him look a million dollars. He did his job and was good, deserves some recognition, but he wasn't a game winner AFAIC. It was just that sort of game I guess.

Ross praised brad hill in his press conference and his ability to see the totality of a game is far greater, with respect, to posters on big footy

No way I would have put Coniglio's game on a par with Cleaver's.
Pretty much agree with the rest.

Good to see Ryan get some votes! I don't think Cogs was BOG for the whole game, but he was massive in the last quarter for GWS.
