5 Jack Macrae (WB)
4 Eddie Betts (CARL)
3 Alex Keath (WB)
2 Harrison McKay (CARL)
2 Michael Gibbons (CARL)

1 Bailey Smith (WB)

Would love to see who voted for who, because someone is having a laugh.
No way Macrae or Keath had more influence on that game than Kennedy. Bailey Smith clearly their best IMO

No votes for Setterfield is a bit of a surprise; he was excellent on Saturday.

A vote to Luke McDonald reeks of Rhyce Shaw literally giving a vote of confidence to one of his players. Looking at the stat sheet just now, I was surprised to see he had 18 touches and led the game for metres gained. I didn't think he had any impact on the game whatsoever.

Reckon it would've been something like:
Teague
5. Plowman
4. Kennedy
3. Pittonet
2. Weitering
1. Curnow

Shaw
5. Murphy
4. Polec
3. Walsh
2. Curnow
1. McDonald

Surprised that 7 Blues players would get votes before Setterfield too. I thought he was terrific.

Strangest voting I reckon I've ever seen...could only agree on Curnow (whichever way they voted)...

EDIT: Sorry...just realised they only agreed on one player, either Pitto/Walsh/Curnow...still bizarre to get two coaches only vote one player in both their top 5...

9 players getting votes wow. I wonder what the record is.

Were both coaches watching the same game

Did Shaw get confused between Setterfield and Murphy.

As an aside, below is where we are as at the conclusion of R8:

A few things to note:
  1. We are sitting 4-4, yet our best and most dominant player is not currently in our top 5.
  2. Last year Cripps led the club on 82 votes, with Ed Curnow second on 27 votes.
  3. 9 Carlton players polled double figures in 2019, we already have 6.
We are well and truly on our way.
