My question is this: where were the Swans guys in the first 2.5 quarters? Not one of them was close to dominant, they weren't even winning their positions.
Yes, I do understand what happened, and know that these guys contributed, but not of them was a 4-quarter player.

Swans mids spent a lot of time on the bench in the first half (more than ours).

You're not wrong about the "4-quarter" player, but geez, McInerney and Gulden for the best two on ground will be one of the easiest selections you'll see all year. Will be surprised if they don't pick up the 3 and 2 for the Brownlow. As for the minor votes, there's more of a range of choice, but I've got no issue with those named. Maybe Pitto could have snagged a vote, but then so could have Grundy.

Was it 53 interchanges they banked for the 2nd half? Any wonder they ran riot in the 3rd. At 3/4 time, their players who spent time on the bench were doing through in the centre square whilst Cox was addressing the rest of the team.

Questionable, that is for certain. His 1st quarter was powerful, but he didn't do that much after that.
Still, it wasn't easy for anyone after the rain came.
Cripps didn't get a mention for 29 possessions, 7 clearances and 9 tackles, even though some of his possessions were less than perfect.
I guess we have to win to attract votes.
