I'm sure they were all universal minds  if the guy wants to develop his coaching somewhere where he can have absolute control why cant we just wish him well and move on.
And a club champ. Everyone was blaming Voss but now they blame Carr. Shits me. Wish him well.

Agree.

Good luck Carry, you are a true Port Adelaide hero.

Chris McDermott can give you tips on who not to turn your back on at Prospect.

...
Total meh for mine. Many wanted him gone, I'm happy with that.
...
Yeah but if that Many poster was in charge of our team we would have no players and no coaches left.

Well it's official here:

https://nafc.com.au/newsevents

The NAFC Board is extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Josh Carr as our new Senior Coach. We have been through an exhaustive identification process over the past 6 weeks and have had many very good candidates, and the hard work put in has resulted in the appointment of a very high quality person and coach who we believe will deliver an outstanding culture and football program to our Club. Josh’s appointment has only been approved tonight by the Board (Thursday), for a term of 3 years. Please join us in welcoming Josh and Karolina with their children Violet and Jude to our great Club

Good luck to Josh - he will need all the luck he can get at North. I am excited about some coaching changes for next year, get some fresh ideas around the place - especially on game day. I would like to see more interaction in the box on game day between Ken and the other coaches, and I think Hocking coming back to the AFL side will provide more of this for some reason - I sense in the high stress of game day Ken is more likely to listen to someone a bit older - a peer. I get the feeling he would shut the young guys down a bit. That's not a knock on Ken, just seems to be his personality and it seemed to work well with Richardson and Walsh.

Also quite excited about Basset coming in as a defensive coach as I think we need to work on our kick out strategies - seemed to be so predictable this year and a real weakness. Our other main weakness in my opinion was our lack of spread from the contest, dissapointing for such a hard running team. Fixing that will go a long way to improving our kicking efficiency, and will mean more uncotested possessions which is important for us as a lighter bodied team. I think fixing these 2 things plus having a really strong marking target up forward again in Dixon, and getting some speed back with Polec will see us challenge strongly again next year.
