So all the people having a go at Roosy watched his work on 360 right?

He said that the supporters emailing him being negative had made him realise that there might be players driving to the ground with the same thing, and how was he going to change that mindset coming into the game

The more I think about it the more I realise this was classic deflection, its been all about PJ and Roos this week and nothing about the players.. Roosy has sucked everyone in again

If you think he isnt ferocious behind closed doors your joking

'He lost winnable games, he made questionable matchday selections, he was rude to the fans. Still, there goes the best damn coach the Melbourne Football Club ever had.'

A lot of crap going around about PJ and Roos, I even read about some bloke in the paper that wanted Roos and half the list gone or he and 13 members of his family won't re-sign as a members.
I will be honest, never from the day Roos joined as our coach did he say he would be able to turn it around overnight he said it would take time. The problem is we have obviously seen some improvement this year with some good wins but we have also had dissapointment with games where we have been beaten by teams we though we should have won, I will admit I think we should have won another game or two this year but other than that we are still where I expected us to be.
I'm standing behind Roos because I know that in the limited time he has had at the club he had brought in some decent players, I haven't questioned a single draft pick under him and I know that he still has plenty of deadwood to move on.
Now after reading the moron in the newspaper going on about not renewing his membership because of Roos, I can see the negativity he and PJ are talking about... Its not every supporter but there is no doubt there are plenty out there that think they know more than the people in charge of the club.

End of the day I for one am happy to give Roos the time he needs to turn the rabble he was handed into a solid performing team.

That bold part is confusing.

In regards to the "moron" who is cancelling his membership - who are you to judge someone on whether they wish to renew their memberships? A family of 13 is a lot of money to fork out year after year for a team this deplorable. I am considering the same and yet I only pay for one.

PJ, Roos and the whole entire club need to harden up and cop the criticism because frankly, it's well deserved.

I can guarentee you that moron will be the first person gloating when we start wining and eventually when we play finals, everyone of us has gone through the same as them and I'm sure most of us know it's not cheap to buy memberships etc.

Renew it or not just don't be one of those people that no doubt would have been bragging about Roos coming Melbourne a few years ago to whinging when after 2 years we aren't playing finals.

And as far as the bold parts go I am saying I expected us to finish around where we have and have competed to a level I expected, although I had us marked down for a win against Carlton and should have beaten the Saints in that first game....not sure where you got confused?

People can feel free to argue the toss on those selections but the main point is there is a **** load of improvement in that list
Everyone to a man can play better
Someone like Brayshaw has had a very good debut year but the C is because in terms of general impact he will do alot more in his career... Ditto Hogan

The midfield is where games are won and lost.

The last month we have been deplorable in this area when it matters most; at the start of games when intent is made clear.

Simon Goodwin is in charge of the midfield... Am really worried about this bloke taking over from roosy.

We don't have any experienced clearance players - Jones and Vince are experienced but clearances aren't their forte.

Viney, Tyson, Brayshaw will hopefully become our starting trio, all who have a bit about them in tight.

Need to spend the preseason working on fitness, coming out firing in first quarters, and a game style which involves quick and accurate passing from defence rather than just ultimately flatfooted contested ball.

If it wasnt Paul Roos, my guess is the coach would be sacked. Simply unacceptable the last month. Disgraceful first halves in all 4 games and a disgraceful game plan. No idea where the club is going on field.

Gotta laugh at how some commentators said if you take away the slow starts, we played competitively in the other 3 quarters. Like, a team won't back off once it has an unbeatable lead - especially a team going into finals... Those slow starts are indicative of where we actually are, not the "competitive" quarters after that which count for nothing.

we were great in the midfield at the start of the game yesterday though. What killed us was horrible horrible entries into f50. It was disgusting to watch. Oh and the criminally one side free kick count. I know people don't like blaming it; but it impacted yesterday's game, without a doubt.

nickgrant69 decent list but you shouldn't be rating Salem, he has missed well over half the year.

He got the trusty *

If we can get him Kent , frost , petracca, Tyson, Brayshaw, watts and one or two of stretch harmes Anb and the new draft pick into the B column next year we will be a far improved side

I just watched his press conference. Phrases used like "i thought the boys came to play today and put in a terrific effort"..." I told them we need to come to play next week like we did today." We just lost a game of football by nine goals to a side that never got out of second gear. How the **** is that coming to play? I am so sick of this club accepting this shit. People keep talking about the standards and expectations being dramatically improved. **** me.
