Why do you want exclusively people who haven't worked with our coaching staff before? If you know you work well with someone and you know they do their job well then what's the issue?

I'm not sure why we'd be interested in getting the band back together that in part has landed the Scum in a position a couple of places below us on the ladder. By 'the band' we have gotten McCartney who was too good to leave on the open market and a game analyst.
Not to mention that Essendon 2013 were a side that finished 7th before the ASADA penalties were served, and Essendon 2014 finished 7th outright.

Earlier this year Paul Roos made special mention of how he respects how Freo play under Ross Lyon and how they control games and lock teams down. Well it has got them nowhere. I'm glad they have failed once again. That defensive shit doesn't deserve a premiership.

Probably the best attacking team has beaten them tonight but that isn't the profound part. The profound part is that statistically Hawthorn is the best defensive team of 2015. Yep, Hawthorn.

For two years I've been rabbiting on about how attack is defense in the modern game. Under Ross Lyon Freo haven't learnt how to defend better, they've just been engineered to rely more on their defense holding up in order to win games.

Ross Lyon has created an uncreative football team in general which has heavily relied on one or two creative individuals to get them close wins this year.

So glad Goodwin will have more control next year.

Lucky having arguably the best player in the competition injured had no effect on the game...

To be honest early in the 4th the game was in the balance whoever kicked that first goal was going to win the game, the Hawks got it and now we all have to suffer through insufferable Hawks fans gloating for another year. I don't think the gamestyle had much to do with it either way.

I completely agree with you , but player for player freo are lucky to be in the top 4
They have some gun players but so do richmond and the Bulldogs

Disagree slightly - a better group then Richmond and not better, but more experienced then the dogs. But they lost and this was the chance and they won't get a better one. Descending the ladder from now.

Stiall wish they had won though, I am tired of the Hawks

They need to play Fyfe at FF next year and try being in McCarthy as the second tall so they can attack a little more
