The list change is amazing, has always had a focus on being competitive and bringing in competitors. I can't think of a player that he's brought in that's been useless. Unlike neeld bringing in guys like rodan and other players names I dare not mention.

Only one you could argue is Lumumba who hasnt really reached any sort of heights, Hindsight says the straight swap for Varcoe would have been better but oh well I didnt mind it at the time

I did think of lumumba. I don't think he's been completely useless. I even think he's been reasonable it patches. Well at least last year, this year he's done nothing.

I'd agree with that, and unlike campaigner I actually believe he has something wrong. Just comes off as extremely strange in his interviews.

Doubt we'll see H play AFL again.

Yep fair call hard to do anything if you're physically and or mentally unwell.

Their only decent young back is Jake Kolo, Harry Taylor is the only other one under 30. Danger and Selwood will give them a modicum of competitiveness but they will drop into no-mans land

I just had to look it up to confirm ... But Harry Taylor turned 30 in June. You're dead on tho, they're still riding the aging coat tails of that brilliant team. Their trade spree last year has temporarily delayed the fall, but also ensured it will be quite spectacular when it happens ... And I can't wait

Just because you're a bit of a weirdo, it doesn't mean there's something wrong with you.

He's clearly not your average footy playing bogan.

I'm sure he's looking forward to kicking back with a million spliffs in his retirement. Be interesting to see what he's like post-AFL career.

I know Rawlings has great aspirations to be a senior coach (he is one of only a handful that are at the 'top tier' of the AFL coaching accreditation program thing) but there are unlikely to be any vacancies for him to pursue this year.

This is interesting - Demons in the hunt for Brenton Sanderson as as assistant. I guess we'll need to replace Goodwin, at the very least, when he steps up as head coach:

SEVERAL clubs are jostling for the services of former Adelaide coach Brenton Sanderson as he considers returning to an AFL club after two years in charge of the AIS/AFL Academy.

Collingwood is considered the front-runner to secure the services of the 42-year-old, who coached the Crows to the 2012 preliminary final in his three years at the club.

Sanderson is in demand elsewhere, with Melbourne one club understood to have expressed interest in his services as an assistant coach as they prepare to make a tilt at the finals in 2017. Other Victorian clubs are also believed to have sounded him out.

Sanderson, who also had a strong record at Geelong as an assistant coach after playing 209 AFL games (199 at the Cats), has successfully overseen the development of the country's best young players in recent years through the AIS.
