I think it will take a few more games before the club makes a move. The next few weeks will be tough, but we have the Hawks and Freo twice and they look the only likely wins, maybe North.

We sacked Rocket at the end of the season, and I think it would be the same for Bevo. But I think Bevo would quit first if it got really bad.

Think that regardless of who the head coach is, we need a strong group of assistants. Particularly if we’re going with a first time head coach (Yze, Caracella, Lade, Boyd etc), we need experience to support them (Pyke, Leon, Rutten, Bolton, Buckley etc)

The bit of the presser that irked me as much as anything last night was when some reporter asked about 'do they need a cuddle or something?'

I thought to myself, no they don't, they need a rocket. Yeah sure, there's time
for cuddles, that's over, it's time for a foot up the a*** and to demand better... from everyone at the club.

It's time for a coach who sets standards, non negotiables, not drifting along hoping the vibe will improve and relying on fairy stories.

These blokes may be good at their job we don’t really know? But when you have a mate from St Bedes(Maddocks) Spangler, Rohan Smith (who has been there too long) as well, that’s not a good environment for someone who has not played the game at the highest level.
Look who Ross Lyon, love him or hate him is a coaching animal, had as assistants last night. Robert Harvey, Lenny Hayes and Corey Enright! Imagine that quartet with our list?

I think either of Leppitsch/Pyke are fine if you want one with experience and wouldn't hate Buckley personally

If we want the untried options Yze would be top of the list for me

Cameron is a fossil. Think the game has passed him by as well. Some of his decisions the last couple of years at GWS were almost Bevo like with playing very good players out of position and confused game style.

What scares me about recruiting the likes of Yze, Caracella, Solomon and Lade is that these blokes seem to apply for every vacant senior position, and are always rejected. We’d effectively be taking the scraps that Essendon, Saints, Carlton, etc. decided weren’t good enough for their success starved clubs.

Yeah that’s why I said it’s unlikely anyone on here would really know if these touted names are actually any good.

I think we'll see a massive difference once he's gone. We might even get a coach that listens to ideas, has things up his sleeve and takes advice. Heaven help us.
