There isn't a thread dealing with our coaching group and the seemingly ever changing landscape of it.
The listing below is as it currently stands and will be amended through any changes.

Brett Ratten: Senior Coach

Alan Richardson: Assistant Senior Coach
John Barker: Forward-line Coach
Gavin Brown: Back-line Coach
Matthew Capuano: Ruck Coach
Mark Riley: Mids Coach
Paul Williams: Stoppage Coach

Darren Harris: In-Depth Development Coach (T.B.C.)
Luke Webster: Development Coach

Gary Ayres has been knocked out of the race for the Saints job, whilst Richardson is still in the mix.

Can categorically say that if Richardson gets the Saints job, then we are going to need to replace 2 assistants as Brown is going to follow him over and be one of his top assistants.

Not sure who we would get to replace, but I would rather it stay as is.

Totally agree.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Fingers crossed Richo don't get the job.

*I mean seriously, Its a career death sentence to coach them anyway.

St.Kilda have announced that they have narrowed their search for a coach down to three. (for now at least)
That being Watters, Hinkley and Richardson.

Hope they don't opt for Richardson.

Yeh I hope they don't either, our coaching panel at present is arguably the best

Yet to be confirmed, but it sounds as though Richardson has fallen out of the race for the St.Kilda job.
Good for Carlton and Richardson, if so. ;)

That we were lucky to have him last year.

Bummed if we lost Brown too.

Mark Harvey anyone?

Brown has a contract so i doubt there is a get out clause if he was to get another assistant job.
Puts us in an awkward position if Richardson was to leave at this late stage. Hope the club has been preparing for this possibility.

What's with the bail out at the Blues????

Bail out???

Someone having the chance to achieve their ultimate coaching dream of being the Senior Coach of an AFL team is hardly bailing out.

Good luck to Richo, he deserves it.

However, we need to leave no stone unturned in securing the best assistant out there to replace him (contracted or not!).

A large part of our success in 2011 came from having the best people around Ratten. We cannot let this advantage slip.

The last thing we need from this should Richo get the gig at the Saints is that Bomber Riley becomes Senior Assistant. The guy needs to be moved on or duties kept to a bare minimum.

Richardson has the Saints job and will be announced tomorrow.
Source is impeccable.

I know it's Sportsnewsfirst  but it appears it is down to Hinkley & Watters for the Saints coaching job ..............

St Kilda down to Watters or Hinkley

ST KILDA powerbrokers look to have narrowed their field of senior coaching applicants down to Scott Watters and Ken Hinkley as the last remaining candidates.
After a series of extensive final interviews in Melbourne on Thursday, it is understood that the Saints selection panel will make a final decision within 48 hours.

It appears highly regarded Carlton and former Collingwood assistant Alan Richardson will be overlooked.

St Kilda down to Watters or Hinkley
