Hunt said their wont be many at the game. Not sure what he thinks is "not many" but i would say between 2500-3500

Interesting listening to Steve Price this morning, and in passing comment on Folau, he said his brother (Prices) was instrumental in the signing of Hunt to the GC. No wonder he had the inside scoop on the Coburg game. I wonder if he has some influence in having the Coburg game as his debut.

Hi Folks

I heard this afternoon that ABC1 will be showing this game live in Brisbane.
So considering we normally get no VFL coverage up here, just thought a few northerners might like to watch a bit of Coburg action.

Cheers :)

McKenna said last night he will play FF so should line up on the Goo which will be great to see. Spewin its not televised this game. You would think ABC would reschedule.

Personally, rather than potting the bloke, I strongly hope he succeeds for the sake of football.

I could think of nothing better than a long queue of NRL and other rugby code players angling for juicier AFL contracts...while rugby as a whole does a couple of 360's around the bowl of insignificance before being consigned to the shitter of history forever - where it belongs.

AFL becoming really strong nationwide is going to get a huge boost if rugby players can switch codes successfully, I hope Hunt and many that follow him do well.
Disagree - hope they all crash and burn. We all know that this is all about money, broadcast rights money. The AFL only want to develop the game into Sydney & QLD as they wamt a greater share of the audience, hence more money for the broadcast right. Some may argue this is good business sense, maybe, but to what extent are they prepared to jepordise the traditional markets, and the actual game itself.

ABC TV announced it would broadcast live Karmichael Hunt's proposed VFL debut against Coburg next Saturday. ''It might be a long way from a European Rugby Union Cup final in Paris, to a VFL home and away game at Craigieburn on Melbourne's outskirts, but for Karmichael Hunt it signals the beginning of a brand new challenge,'' ABC TV Grandstand presenter Peter Donegan said. ''In recent years, VFL appearances by Nathan Buckley and Ben Cousins have attracted widespread interest.''

Cant wait. The eyes of the country will be on Hunt, But the Goo will be the man who playes on him (i assume) In some ways i bet Dimma will love seeing how he handles this pressure.

.

Interesting to note that Browne is out this week.
Not if this website is anything to go by: http://www.sportingpulse.com/club_i...ask=DETAIL&articleID=12349279&sectionID=56260

Say's he's on the bench.

Annoying Taylor got rubbed out for that bump, wanted to see him play. I guess the Hislop injury rumours are true on other websites, said he got sent in for surgery to fix an issue he's had all season. Hope not though, basically insinuates he's a lock to get a new contract for next year. Would be an absolute disgrace if true.

Special K (as his known), is just there to create a contest (in the true since, very raw). A pass mark will be a correct disposal by hand & foot.

Good idea with full forward, any turnovers can be recovered. Mind you I hope Gourdis? has a good game, considering he should be able to play off him. Contested marks will be interesting though.
