Riewoldt, Nason, Nahas, Hicks, Post, Pretty lively forward line in a couple of years!

Post still looks like a defender to me. He gets lost as a forward, unless he's pushing right down the ground like a Nick Riewoldt.

I watched the first three quarters on the ABC

- didn't think Polo was that impressive
- Polak was good but he wasn't great - playing against boys he should really dominate
- Hicks very promising. Like his skills and second efforts. Worked hard which is more than I can say for Relton
- O'Reilly looks like he is progressing well
-Post too quiet - should be CHB and in the play more - has put on size though and has a real haircut
- Rance was ok but not a player who makes you feel comfortable when he has the pill - good to see him try and find some space at times before making a decision as opposed to his usual run like a goose before getting run down - should be only eating whatever the club gives him. Get Jason Johnson's company onto this ASAP.
- Gourdis - GC didn't have a real full forward so hard to judge his game
- Browne - showed a bit in patches - needs more fitness
- Morton - all flash not much substance
- Thursfield - solid
- Relton Roberts - needs to run 20km a day minimum. The bloke is overweight and doesn't work hard enough. Could be a livewire but instead it looks like he is keeping KFC in business.

All in all I wasn't too impressed by the Richmond listed players with the exception of Hicks. Against the GC guys like Polo, Morton, Rance etc should look a class above but they didn't.

Will need another clean out come seasons end.

Because he has good skills and a potentially remediable problem (his fitness). Unfortunately it doesn't look like this problem will be going away anytime soon.
Looks like we'll have to wait until 2011 until we see Relton the seniors again?!

Polo was okay, shouldn't be recalled after a game like that.
Webberly - Didn't understand why he got dropped, had time and composure with a couple of nice goals.
Thursfield - I don't see how he fits into our defence with Mcguane and Moore better key position players, maybe trade bait?
Hicks - Good little player, quick with skills. Maybe still a bit early to debut, get a good pre-season under him and give him a run next year.
- Nahas - looked a class above, should definitly be recalled and not dropped, his a pocket rocket in our side a real energy livewire.
Morton - Don't really know where his career is at, tried to do too much, don't think Damien see's him as apart of our future. Trade bait?
Browne - Moved well, still a developing ruckman only 19. Give him time.
Rance - Don't think he will ever be a really good afl player, just a solid b- grader at best.
Post - We drafted him as a defender from Western Jets and are trying to transform him into a forward. Good hands but suspect kicking, Reads the play and is more suited to defence in my opinion.
Relton Roberts - Has the bit of indigenous magic but doesn't work hard enough, we do not need players like him to move forward. Is also 24 years old.

Webberly, Nahas and Hicks the real positive to come out of today. Our bigger more experienced bodies coming over the top in the end.

At this stage, I am confused about Morton. He is really struggling this year, and now I am wondering whether it's worth keeping him.

I remember at the start of the year Hardwick mentioned that he would like to see Reiwoldt and Morton play near the forward line. But it appears Morton might be gone? Unless, he turns things around.

No one in the richmond team can afford a bad game becuase there were 4-5 guys today that deserve one.

Toy in the best for GC. I thought he struggled.
Thought he was better than Swallow who only had about 13 touches as a midfielder and turned it over a lot. Both should be guns though. Both will overtake most of our players who did well today within 2 years.

I have been watching lawton for some time now and for someone his height he has some great attributes, put 10kgs on him and we could have a good-en. Hicks should be elevated if his recent form holds. Keep in mind that past our first 3 picks the recruitment pond will be extremely shallow.

What is the general consensus re Morgan?

Liam Patrick looks like he could be anything.
