So all this cocaine being seized ends up where?

The drugs are still readily available ….

Seems all these “busts” are used to justify the high prices….. create a sense of scarcity.

We are THE most expensive market for coke in the world, bar none.
So a hot destination to send loads of the Devils dandruff to.
I tend to think that some gets seized, they just send 100 kg more until some gets through.
At the mark up the exporters are getting,; they can afford it.

Yes, and the fact so much gets caught, the risk is great, the penalties great, helps push prices higher.

"In Vince's final year of undercover work, cocaine detections were 58 kilograms. In the nine months to today, 4.3 tonnes worth of cocaine has been seized.

The amount of cocaine detected by Border Force has more than doubled in nine months.

The cartels have so much money, it is easy for them to throw hundreds of thousands of dollars at an individual to make what may seem a one-off decision.

"Once it gets into the criminal justice system, once there's the compromising of the courts, for example, then it just permeates like a cancer."

"The AFP has charged two foreign nationals over their alleged involvement in a plot to import more than 460kg of cocaine into Western Australia from Colombia."

I must say I can't believe how rife coke is these days. 20 years ago when I was into the fun stuff it was pretty rare around my circles, was all louie and pills, now it's all about the bags it appears.

How do you know?

Police and politicians show off these seizures to justify their jobs, the money they earn and the ridiculous amounts of tax payers money wasted.

Meanwhile nothing changes besides it being more available than ever before, the income of criminals, cops, customs, politicians and the increase in violence.

Do they ever show the drugs seized being destroyed?

"A Perth man and woman are scheduled to face Perth Magistrates Court this afternoon (4 August) for their alleged roles in attempting to import 850kg of cocaine into Australia hidden on a bulk cargo carrier."

Crazy high prices make it very appealing for the cartels and wannabe hoodlums who want to get in on a good thing.

The turf wars will be absolutely insane.
Expect plenty of hits and hit attempts in the next few years.

"In a statement, ABF Commander Ranjeev Maharaj said cocaine was being intercepted and seized by officers at the Australian border in record quantities.

"This is the second time in as many months that the collective effort of ABF officers and our law enforcement partners have successfully disrupted brazen attempts at bringing large quantities of cocaine along WA's coastline."

Australian Federal Police (AFP) officers foiled the plan by a transnational organised crime group to import cocaine from Colombia to Australia.

"A 33-year-old Colombian man, who was staying in Australia on a student visa, was arrested at a shopping centre near Brisbane Airport after he allegedly tried to take a suitcase - which was supposed to contain cocaine - from a rental locker."

The popularity and access to Cocaine is the highest it's ever been, ever.

¨War on Drugs¨ what a great success :):):):):):):):):):):):):)
