I think the new facilities are fantastic for the attraction and retention of players and may have some small benefit on the team performance. Collingwood's facilities and expenditure for the footy Department were light years ahead of everyone for years but their performance did not reflect their superiority until perhaps now.
Collingwood moved from the burbs to the CBD. They built their facility in a place where players would prefer to live.

We literally did the opposite.

Have you tried driving into the pies training area during peak hour? It's a ****ing nightmare! And I wouldn't call it "built" their facilities, more they bought an already built olympic facility. Princess Park has the same issues as Freo Oval did, there's nowhere to expand. It's stunted by roads, housing and a train line.

Perron has some pretty big plans for Cockburn...

A development like that would be great for livening up the area and probably start the clock ticking on the club moving elsewhere as developers start tabling offers with too many zeros on the back for the considerable unutilised land with eight white sticks coming out of it.

With supreme luck that would come after the Kwinana port has replaced Fremantle and Fremantle is in serious financial trouble - far more open to the idea of Freo FC rebuilding and modernising the area around Freo Oval, so much so that they grant the space to the club.

Then Freo can walk into new facilities in the spiritual home with +100m in the bank

I'm not even sure $100,000,000 will be all that much money in twenty years given how much stimulus spending I expect to be pushed into global markets over the next ten.

Can dream all you like.FFC will not return to Fremantle. They now have their home in Cockburn.

We may not need the training facility at ARC soon anyway, just the rehab rooms. But can move them up to West Perth conveniently located near the medical suites.
