So no one else here has a feeling that the intention was to get us out of Freo no matter what to assist with the de-branding of Fremantle and the emphasis branding on Dockers to make the team less location specific. And so they say things about how Cockburn is the only option just to drive home a pre-determined outcome?

Take the jumper... even if you prefer the new jumper (and it's a good jumper) you have to admit it was a pretty crook way of going about it. They totally ignored that the old Purple Haze home and away were very popular jumpers, and that there was not insignificant acceptance that those jumpers could become the "new" permenant jumper. Such a switch would have got all on board I think.

Ok for sure Levis would not let it happen... but they club coulc have just come out and say it instead of hide behind some rubbish survey.
Sorry I can't hear anything over all the diffracted radio waves coming off of your tinfoil hat.

Schwab destroyed us list wise and on field with his meddling .Please if you want to have any credibility on this board dont bring up the Schwab card ,he is a cancer at any club he pokes his nose in
let's see what the freo board said back in the day: from just the 1st page.

Cameronk: What CS has done for this club off the field has been amazing.
FreoShark: Seriously off-field he has turned Freo around and done an outstanding job!
newlander: the guy has turned the club around off the field!
GreatPurpleShark: Its sad news, He is a large part of Fremantle becoming an AFL club instead of just the WAFC's bitch.....
The Night Shift: he turned us around from a financial basket case to turning strong profits and stabilising the club.
FootyEaterl:bugger, he has been a key figure in our off field success. can anyone think of any possible replacements?

from: http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/cameron-schwab-leaving-fremantle.430586/

So sure he meddled in some trades to do what he felt needed to be done to keep us afloat. Now they are tough, professional, decisions no?

p.s. I'm not saying I wish he stayed... but credit where credit is due.

You know back when I was young I was fed porridge, and I loved it. Didn't know any different. But when I was older I tried a granola and now I look back at porridge and see it for what it was - plain and vanilla.

Since when was porridge vanilla? Seriously I think you can do better than a cutting porridge vs granola comparison.

I'd like to engage with you, however I get the distinct impression that you are beneath me..
Ha ha you know what I highly doubt that lol.

I did put up a post a little earlier which you conveniently ignored.
was that your whiney list of why you can't develop Freo Oval... all of which looked like minor obstacles to a professional organisaion with a top-class CEO to me?

I know a thing or two about development and Councils. It is not hard to get sh:t done if you try.

As do I.

It was a list of specific reasons why moving to a greenfields site is the better option all round. We are the major tenant in a new development and, as such, hold a far better position in negotiating anything which affects the club going forward. With the Fremantle Oval redevelopment we would be in constant negotiations with pre-existing bodies and groups.

It would be a bloody mess.

Just how many big projects have gone ahead in Freo since the Americas Cup??

There's a reason for that, and if you had more than one molecule floating between your ears you would know it.

How is the Town of East Fremantle going with the EF Oval redelopment?

150 pissed off nimby protestors at their AGM. And that's just the beginning.

Yeah, stuff like this is real easy to get done.

It is still not much of a statement of confidence in the Steves that of all the wonderful breakfast options out there you think they are granola:)
It's my point of view :) I really like granola. Not surprising for you to be caught up in the detail and not the message though; management but not the direction .... ;)

Thank's for coming-great to have you in the audience:)

You're welcome, I do agree Scwabby helped us in the dark days,

But I reckon his ego got the better of him. IIRC he was even in the coaching box at one time.

Obviously got involved in trades and don't get me started about the trip to Harvard.

Looking forward to moving into state of the art new facilities, hopefully have a better surface than the current one, If Pav likes it, I'm sold.

I have never met the Steves but I like the re branding and the direction of the club, on and off the field, so i guess they get a pass mark.

And yes i used to post and read on Dockerland, I still miss Mission Man's prose. sadly Shane's ego and hair trigger finger has ruined, what was for me, an enjoyable experience.
