Multiplat CoD Black Ops 4

Depends if you're a CoD fan or not.
$70 or whatever this is going to retail for is a steep asking price if the BR mode is all you're interested in.
In the last few days it has been spotted that the Korean games rating board has just finished rating a PS4 version of PUBG which will no doubt launch at the same price as the Xbox version of around $20 to $30.

Ahh yeah didn't really think of that. Will take a look at what else is in the game. I've always been a rather anti social gamer so never really looked into many online/multiplayer games. This one has no story right? Would be good to get onboard the PUBG train and see what it's like, but going by a lot of feedback i see online, it might disappoint me

Yeah no story or single player stuff, just online pvp only.
A couple of good streamers/YouTubers for PUBG are Chocotaco, Wacky Jacky and WTFMoses who also does casting gigs around the globe for PUBG esports events.

They would have learnt a lot from the Xbox release. Dunno which console has more compute power which would help too.

PS4 sales will fund their Mobile game which will fund their xbox game which will fund their PC game. Need to wait for it to come to Switch before the PS4 gets any funding for bug fixes.

Mobile game is linked to Bluehole in name only, if i am not mistaken it's run entirely by Tencent.

FWIW, PUBG ran fine in my 2 or 3 games on the One X. PS Pro is less power so it will be interesting to see how it goes there.

Thanks mate. Last one i played was Black Ops 2 on 360, so will be good to go back in fresh after a few years off!

I like Blops - they spent a fair amount of money advertising on BigFooty when the first one was launched.

Expose a non-cod audience to the experience and they might jump in for the full cod experience. Just the shot in the arm the dying cod genre needs to re-birth.

PUBG won't die but it'll be less relevant to the mainstream. Fortnite, CoD and BF will all offer a more polished experience.

PUBG on consoles will die at some point, just a poorly optimised game. I wouldn't even bother with the PS4 release at this point tbh.

I'm not too fussed about my internet but my mate has pretty average speed and his would probably take a while to get.

This is for PC but I assume PS4/Xbox would be similar times

I guess you could sell gun skins, but they wouldn't make enough money off of them to recoup their losses if they released Blackout as a free game. It'd be nice if they released Blackout seperately for $30 or something in the future, but I doubt it. The price doesn't really bother me. I've gone years paying full price for CoD games where the only thing I put any time in to is multiplayer... so at least this year I'm getting multiplayer AND battle royale modes for my $70. As long as they release a few free Blackout updates along the way (+ free map(s), etc.) it'll be worth it.

Fortnite won't die for some years yet. It's a cultural phenomenon similar to what Pokemon was when I was a kid. You're considered a loser amongst your classmates if you're not playing Fortnite. I have friends who are teachers and this **** is everywhere - kids do Fortnite dances when they eliminate each other in dodgeball during PE class. As long as Epic keep the updates and changes coming Fortnite will still be the #1 game in the world for some time yet.

PUBG on the other hand has already lost a lot of its relevance and it will only get worse when Black Ops drops. I'm sure PUBG will retain some of its core audience, but so long as Black Ops runs well on PC it will get crushed.

Holy ****.

I followed some instructions from Blizzard to fix a situation in battle net. Downloads were just stuck "waiting for another install".

That unplugged it and the final 20GB of destiny 2 finally installed.

Now Black Ops 4 is downloading. AGAIN. All 60GB.

**** these people. Just incompetent beyond measure.
