Just in the last couple of weeks I've really been midding the footy. Is it just me and the longer off-season, or is it just the relentless barrage of Tennis that has been thrust at us that is making me miss a decent sport. Why cant there be a summer competition?

Cricket has been boring this summer but has always been, so nothing wrong there. There's gotta be some other thing to entertain you. Grab a book and read!

Australia has such an awesome cricket side that the matches are too one sided and have become boring. Zimbabwe are a joke side.

I wonder if Manchester United fans are getting bored. Most matches are a walkover. The best matches are IMO between sides of roughly equal talent.

Would Essendon fans find the game exiting if they won every game for say three years running? Would it be worth the effort to turn up to Port,Dockers or Collingwod games?

Aussie Cricket fans and Essendon fans should enjoy it while it lasts

If you're a Man U fan your biggest problem is not worrying if you will win, but how you can afford the 1000 pounds plus you need to get a season ticket

I agree, total domination of the Windies, has made for a very boring cricket season.
I enjoy my cricket, but it runs a very poor second to the footy. Bring it on!

where's wally?

In answer to your question Frodo, yeah i still think it'd be worth turning up to the games you mentioned ( i love watching my team play,no matter who it's against) Winning every game for the next 3 years? Yeah, i'd be comfortable with that! Couldn't be done though.

I think there is a difference between domestic club competitions and international matches.

In the AFL(or any other league) I want Essendon to win everygame and dominate all the time.

However, in matches where countries are playing against one another, it's probably more "healthier" if teams are fairly well matched and there are close games.

Same Old's, I have to agree with you there. It would have been nicer to have a couple of stronger teams to play against the Aussies this summer, but hey, cricket is just cricket anyway

I watch it and enjoy it, but I don't follow it fanatically as I do footy.

It hasn't been a great summer of sport but with Foxtel, there's always something to watch from basketball and soccer, to the traditional cricket and tennis.

As for reading books homework boy, I have
re-read my collection of cricket and footy sporting books.
