The problem is that 'Viva la Vida' (particularly the segment we use) is a song of triumph, so playing it after the first, second goal is ridiculous, not to mention terrible juju. If there is any context to play it, it should be in the fourth quarter when we have our foot on the opponent's, demolishing them for percentage and kicking celebratory goals.

I’m getting old and I don’t see any problems with playing Coldplay music. Viva la vida isn’t exactly one of my favourites but it’s still not a bad tune.

People need to realise that no matter what music you play there will always be some people who don’t like it. Just get over it. I personally couldn’t care less what they play

Coldplay's first four albums were very good. In retrospect they had that 'sensitive new age guy' sappiness to them, but they were good at the time. After the fourth they completely lost the plot, began having U2-esque plans for world domination with rainbows and confetti smh.
