The Essendon football Club today announced that Richard Cole has been delisted.

Cole, who was drafted into the AFL with pick 7 by Collingwood in ?, came to the Bombers in the 2005 trade period (pick number 22).

He played four games for Essendon in 2006 with injury ruining his season.

In 2007 the 24 year-old managed just three games taking his Essendon tally to seven game in two years and his AFL tally to 63 games.

Injury and suspension again interupted his season in 2007 and he was disciplined for breaking team rules while paying for the Bendigo Bombers in the VFL and was forced to play three matches in the Bendigo reserves' side.

Which in the end Slattery was able to do.

Our first pick was 7, Collingwood wanted that.
We said no.

Our next pick after 23 was our 3rd Rounder.
That was committed to taking Neagle.

23 was all we had to deal with.

We then got 19 for Richards.
