Alot of those gaps closed up late. I think the score overall flattered Fremantle and we weren't able to put them away at critical moments. On the other hand, they were a man down and it was one of their better players.

What I learned from the game is the Eagles should expect all teams to flood their attacking 50 so rather than bombing in the first qtr they should be trying to beat the flood by playing on constantly and lowering their eyes from the beginning of the first qtr! Not at qtr time after they've already had 20 inside 50s for 1 goal.

neither team took the foot off, different game plan and they had the crowd (and margets). Both team are contenders for finals

we won - many young kids played a strong role and contributed well. I thought we looked mature in the way reused the ball (less going inside 50)
