This is how i think the Coleman Medal leaderboard will look.

1. Scott Cummings
2. Matthew Lloyd
3. Peter Everitt
4. Wayne Carey
5. Scott Lucas
6. Philip Matera
7. Jeff farmer
8. Ben Dixon
What do you think?

i think scotty welsh from adelaide will do pretty well and get into the top 10.
he's the crows' only consistent goal kicker at the moment.

Lloyd is very consistent. He's not kicked less than 3 all year. Also he's kicked 44 goals in 9 games without kicking more than 7 (and that was only once).

and is due for some big bags...

Projection. 13 rounds to go. Given that he usually has at least one blowout every season of 10+ and averages 4 for the rest (his current average is 4.8 this season) rest.... that's 58 more goals... or 112 for the H&A.

Conclusion: if he stays fit I can't see anyone getting within 10 of him.

PS. Oh God - I'm turning into Dan!
PPS. If WCE can get their feeders into the forward line fit and firing Scotty can kick some big bags - (39 from 9 is still bloody good) - but I think he's struggle for opportunities - not for capacity.

Believe it or not, Monky has been in great form in the VFL and if he can hold down the ruck position for a considerable portion of the match, Spider can not be discounted either.

Essendon are so even across the board that it may be hard for Lloyd to kick the big bags of goals that a Cummings or Everitt could kick.

Eagle fan 24 from two is great but then he has kicked the other 15 from 7. In that case give me Lloydy or Everitt.

At the start of the season I thought Lloyd was a shoe-in for the ton and "The Great One's" medal. When Scotty started kicking bags I thought Lloydy would struggle kicking enough with less chances.

At the moment though, he's playing below his best and still getting 5-6. So he can still do it. Lucas could possibly kick 50-60 as well, what a forward line.

By the way with all of the orgasms over Whitnall in the media the guys only kicked 22 goals. That's less than Lucas, Waterhouse, Welsh and Farmer. Sure he feeds alot off but the guy has taken 75 marks and played most of his footy on the toy ground.
Kick some goals you big drip!

BOMBER BLITZ IN 2000!

Modra is out for three weeks and already everyone is forgetting about him. He has kicked 27 in six games this year and only played 10 minutes in one of those games. So say 27 goals in five games is an average of over five a game. If he had played all games like Lloyd and Cummings he would currently sit atop the goakicking list. Even so he will still finish in the top three provided he stays healthy and the Dockers play half reasonable footy.

It would be interesting to look at percentage of team's goals kicked by each player. I think Modra had over 30% in the games he played. To equate that to Lloyd and the Bombers, Matty would have to kick about 6-7 a week assuming the Dons kick around 20 goals per week which they regularly do.

its a two horse race without a doubt Cummings and Lloyd. If cummings can get more consistent then its his cos Lloyd and the dons have so many goal kickers i cant really see Lloyd kicking many big bags.
