What’s the news on Bobby Hill?
How do you know he wants to come to Collingwood?
Just curious.

In that doco about the player managers he was all set to come to the pies and excited about it but we didn’t have ability to make the trade happen. He’s now been diagnosed with testicular cancer. I’m guessing here but as he has a bigger support network in Melbourne he’s probably wanting to play here still.

Having said that I really don’t care about that crap, I just hope he’s ok. It must be a horrible thing to go through, if he plays again or not doesn’t matter as long he has a long and healthy life.

Add McStay and possibly Bobby Hill to the forward line and you never know. Bobby would be a speculative pick up because of health issues but he wants to come to us and seeing how Docerty has come back this year he’d be a good pick up. Definitely fits in age wise into the young group.

Who cares if he doesn't play another game if he's healthy and well. Plenty have beaten testicular cancer (comedian Tom Green for example) so hopefully it's going well for Bobby and the future is bright.

After the last couple of VFL games I’d elevate Arlo Draper above Harrison, McMahon and Johnson, and perhaps even above Murley. He’s getting chances at the CBAs and has some useful tools in traffic, and seems more than capable of finding the ball in that role. Sighs of relief palpable!

Looked a different footballer the last couple of weeks and starting to play how I hoped he would play. Definitely has some tools to work with.

#43 Charlie Dean - Born leader, won't leave a stone un-turned to get the best out of himself and his teammates. Only downside/weakness is he is a touch on the slow side.

#36 Harvey Harrison - Pace to burn and a body. Has a willingness to hit the contest hard with regards to stoppage work. Needs a lot of work on his tank and his consistency in his kicking. His best kicks are awesome but he can be a bit hit and miss.

#29 Liam McMahon - Silky skills and moves pretty well. Good height. Unsure whether he will be a Key Fwd or Key Back. Judge him after 2023 or 2024. An issue with his body or his unwillingness to push through injury.


Somewhat likely:
#40 Ash Johnson - All the tools but is a bit older so he needs to be good to go. I think he'll get a chance either toward the end of this season or into 2023.

Unlikely:
#19 Arlo Draper - Way too soft from what I've seen, in the contest and with his body.
#27 Cooper Murley - Too small
#34 Isaac Chugg - Honest as anything but chops it up by foot.

You're writing off Murley because he's too small???
Would you have written off Harvey, Milne etc.
