Too much black on there with those changes, kind of defeats the purpose of the clash jumper.Collingwood have recently been presenting their white jumper without black on the neck and arm holes. This has made the traditional white jumper look weaker. Reintroduce the black on the neck and arms holes like it was on the traditional Collingwood jumper and then ask Collingwood supporters which one they prefer.

No one else agrees but I completely agree with this. The white details make the jumper look so much weaker. It might look cleaner but to me it's a clash jumper now; it's not a heritage jumper that's being utilised as a clash. When you combine it with white shorts it ends up looking extremely fake and 'Bali' as well. There's something off about it and I just hate it.Collingwood have recently been presenting their white jumper without black on the neck and arm holes. Gonna take a bit more than the colour of the collar and cuffs to stop it being an effective clash jumperI personally prefer the white collar and cuffs, as fancyscum said, having too much black would defeat the purpose of a clash jumper. It doesn't have to be traditional to be a good clash jumper.
The collar, cuffs and taking out the shoulder panels make it a majority black jumper from the front, that's why I said it loses its effectiveness.Gonna take a bit more than the colour of the collar and cuffs to stop it being an effective clash jumper
I like it without too, when I heard about it I didn't think I would but when I saw it I liked it.

There's nothing wrong with that jumper IMO, but a red collar would look really messy. Red collar, white yoke, red vee...

Sure it'd give a bit more red on the back but not at the cost of cluttering the front. Red cuffs I could go either way on though.

There was a bit of variation in our jumper including more than a few jumpers with white cuffs and a black collar between 1928 and 1939. I think our current clash at least needs the black collar and I'd prefer black cuffs too.I wasn't saying put those back on there it will make it a better clash jumper. I was saying put those on there it will make a better jumper for Collingwood.
The Collingwood jumper was a powerful image for over 100 years, it clashed less with its traditional rivals, in Carlton, Essendon and Richmond. As we can see in the image below that jumper has been successful for the club and has been worn by teams like the 1927-1930 Collingwood 4 in a row Premiership teams and the 1990 Premiership side.
