Plenty of footballers with 150 games of football or more have been dropped and delisted from football clubs. And plenty of versatile and 100% committed footballers play in the VFL.
Goldsack has been a warrior for a very long time, and is rightfully a premiership player, but I think that others will go past him this year, and he will become depth.
No disrespect to Goldy [or Blairy, to name just two], but I'll be disappointed if that's not the case.

Well, Howe seems to think he'll be fine again next week, so what's the point in having a crack at Davoren?
Players must have that kind of minor setback all the time.
They did say Freeman would be back in 1-2 weeks so can't blame the negativity towards Davoren. Was Howe ever injured at Melbourne? Don't think so.

Collingwood (VFL), Man Utd.
What is all the bitchiness about nowadays? Are we bored or already preparing for the 2nd half of the season?
I don't understand it, it annoys the hell out of me, and seriously detracts from the enjoyment of being on BigFooty. Especially given that we're all meant to be on the same side, it's very disappointing.

I'm sure Howe has had several minor injuries in his time as an AFL footballer. It would be extraordinary if he hadn't.

No worries, next time i unpack it all ill try to get a better quality photo so the top part is easier to read. Id say hes achieved what he set out to though :)
I think Eddie has achieved what he originally set out to achieve but I would say that after the 2002-2003 seasons he would have set his goals far greater than the club has been able to achieve to date. Being involved with a team able to go back to back, having 100,000 members, and continued massive operating profits would probably see him call it a day.

Just nerves. It is going to be an exciting year and we are spoilt with choice.

Obviously Bucks wasn't at the training camp because he just arrived back in Melbourne today from Dubai.
I got the QF10 from London and he got on the plane with his family 2 rows in front of me in Dubai. They were all very well behaved and Bucks looks fit enough to play.
Good for him to get away from it all before it starts heating up again.

Seriously! You think my argument was he has played 150 games so we should just keep playing him.

Not even close.
It doesn't particularly matter what your argument was. With the line below you indicated that you were suffering from TD syndrome or as its colloquially called "favourites" and I'm not keen to get drawn into a discussion with someone playing favourites ATM.

If fully fit I would expect Goldy to be pick week in week out this year regardless of how well Marsh, Maynard etc develop.

Goldy is far from a "favourite" of mine. Just think people underestimate the flexibility he provides on game day and that if in reasonable form that will see him get a game most weeks. I had hoped PK would push him out of the side when Goly was playing as a forward but unfortunately that did not happen.

Love to see Marsh and Maynard push him out, just don't think they provide the flexibility at this time in their development. They may play with Goldy, just not sure Match Committee will want to lose Goldy's flexibility just yet.
