Speaking of the urgent retreat from danger specialist, there seems to be a thread about him that has popped up at Bay 13.

It is genuinely intriguing to watch such an outstanding player regularly go out of his way to avoid contact. I’m trying to think of the last elite footballer to share similar timidity and I honestly can’t recall one.

I’m not sure how much it impacts him as a player as he’s so good at everything else - his cowardice in the contest is just something we haven’t really seen from a gun player before.

But there’s also a chance he’s ahead of his time and in future generations the way players willingly smash bodies and accept physical contact on today’s game will be seen as archaic.

I don't think anyone took offence. I doubt there are too many people on this board who had loved ones who died in the Soviet purge of Polish military officers back in 1940.
