Have just been going through some AFL lists and was shocked when reading the Pies 2007 list.
Plenty of untried youngsters that may or may not make it. Plenty of older players who i think will fade away by years end...Presti and Buckley spring to mind.

But it was the number of players that if delisted tomorrow would not have the slightest chance of being picked up by another team.

Would anybody take slow mids like:

O'Bree
Lockyer
Lucuria

Shocking ball users / decision makers and softies like:

Davis
Lonie
R.Shaw

Tall duds like:

Bryan
Wakelin
Richards

Inconsistent dummy spitters like:

Medhurst
Rocca

There is half a side of players that 15 other clubs would not have on their lists.
How will a side get by in 07 if they have them all on their own list.

2007 - A spoon may be coming Pies way.

Yes but they have a dream draw to ensure a midtable finish......

When was the last time Colonwood came west twice in 1 season and visited Adelaide twice in 1 season????

I just had a look at Essendons list, and I can tell you that they will be giving the pies a real run for their money in the wooden spoon stakes. Observe...

Slow mids:
Johnson X 2
Camporeale

Shocking ball users/ decision makers/ softies:
Cole
Peverill
Camporeale
Heffernan
McVeigh

Tall duds:
Bradley
Bolton (total joke!)
Ryder

Should be quite the ANZAC day clash Monkeyboy

Lonie is one of the best kicks in the game, yeah he is soft but big deal, u actually need to have players in ur team who can kick the ball

Davis is also a very good user of the ball, most forward pocket players would be considered soft

R.Shaw is better then winderlich, dyson, mcveigh, welsh all regulars in the essendon line up

when stanton is ur best - only ball carrier and he cant even hit a target u know ur struggling

by the way rocca and presit are the same age as lloyd and lucas, and essendon also have fletcher, hird, michael, jj and mj who are older then both presti and rocca

Oops, forgot to mention Courtenay Johns...
Essendon are in far worse trouble than first suspected. They are streets ahead of Collingwood in the race to the spoon.

I think last years ladder accurately reflects where each club is on the premiership clock
I bet you weren't saying that at the start of 06. Brand new season, every team is nil at this point.

... we were within a few percent of one of the teams that played the grand final
But you got pantsed in the first final...

If you think retort is a difficult word then I'm sure the irony is lost on you that yours was so lame :p
Just thinking if you are on Bigfooty at 10:45 on a Wednesday maybe you drive a taxi at night?? or perhaps sweep the needles off the streets in Collingwood for a living thats all... just making sure you were able to understand thats all... because most adults with an IQ of over 60 wouldn't think Pee and Poo was a witty post...

NEWSFLASH: EVERY TEAM IN THE AFL CAN NAME A TEAM OF UNDER 21's.

Unfortunately at Collingwood 90% of those you listed are either unproven at AFL level or have never even played at AFL level.

At most sides this figure is around 60-70%.

Your post has only made your list look even weaker.

Once again I'm sure the irony that you are on BF at 10:45 on a Wednesday is lost on you :p
Not at all.. It is my birthday today... so normally I would be the busy CEO of my International Freight company... but today I am just chilling out on the lounge laughing at the pies and bombers supporters going at eachother over their equally pathetic lists

Interesting thread, supporters of two bottom 4 clubs, Hawthorn and Essendon, bagging the Collingwood footy club's list. The Hawthorn supporters must have conveniently forgotten how the Pies smashed them twice last year, with Travis Cloke carving the Hawks up the second time...Round 15 I think. If you want to see Hawthorn playing good football I suggest dusting off those videos from 1988.

And Essendon...please, spare me. All this from a club who gave us 14 dismal loses in a row last season. Why don't you lot go and have a read of what some of the experts, (people who are paid to watch football clubs) have to say about Essendon's recruiting since 2000. Underwhelming at best. Winderlich, Cole, Campo, J.Johnson, Dyson...all dead wood. Thankfully someone at Windy Hill had the brains to delist J.Reynolds.

Get back to us when your clubs are at least competitive. Your child-like posts reek of jealousy.
