Opinion Collingwood Rivalries

It’s not about outlasting one another. My question was do we need a celebration day when for example Carlton can’t finish above us on the ladder similar to Arsenal against Tottenham celebrating st totteringham day.
Yes, when it becomes mathematically impossible for them to play finals, we should celebrate it.
Put it on our banner, hold up signs in the cheer squad.
Let them know we revel in their failure.

Please explain!? The team hardly celebrated any of the goals. That’s what I think you are implying.

Who really cares anymore? mainly 40+ years age demo who still hate them. Melbourne were once most hated in the pre 50s, then Carlton took over a few decades later around 2005 MM went about destroying that within the playing group and its never bounced back, it has now permeated through the crowd who were nothing short of passionless today and in other recent carlton games.

Most under that may dislike them but hate others much more and see Carlton as largely irrelevant.

The players have no dislike or any extra emotion when playing them in fact they are often flat vs them. There is no spite of a real rivaly. Watch a Showdown or a WC vs Freo, or a Hawks vs Geel or even Pies vs Rich/Ess bring out much more passion among team and supporters.
