Collingwood side June onwards

I know that this is a bit of crystal balling, but i'd like to see this side play the bulk of the year from June 1:

Backs:
O'Bree-played here when at Brisbane, leads tackle count, so he knows how to pressure opposition
Walker-needs to develop as KP
Presti-best defender at the club

HB:
Lonie-need to see if he can stand up, or trade bait
Wakelin-nearly as good as Presti all year
R Shaw-gives us some run & carry from defence

C:
Egan-wildcard, lets play him & see what happens,
Didak-our midfield future, let him show what he can do
Rowe-more games he plays, the quicker he becomes a star

HF:
Tarrant-use his engine up the ground, ala 2002/03
T Cloke-prob rotate with C Clo, but gives a good target & contest
Clement-Sheedy once said he would be 100 goal a year FF. Would be hard for other sides to match him up

F:
Rusling-big wraps, expose him now
Davidson-get him in sooner rather than later, nothing to lose, he needs to paly seniors to catch up 2 years of development
Davis-only player in the side who excites the crowd, has his knockers but at least he might give us a bit of excitement.

Foll:
Richards-could be another Spider, if he could just play some games
Johnson-great hands, tough, deserves a permanent midfield chance
Cole-tough, pretty quick, & seems to be getting a bit stale in the backline

Inter:
Iacobucci-see Rowe
Burns-can rotate through midfield & forward line
Licuria-needs a rest after exhausting himself for the last 3 years
Davies-see Rowe

Missing:
Buckley(rest till next year)
Rocca,(rest till next year)
Fraser,(rest till next year)
Woewodin(spell in the twos, get some confidence)
Lockyer(spell in the twos, get some confidence)
Morrison(probably bit stiff, but if you want to play the kids, someone has to miss out)
Caracella(doesn't look fit, needs to learn to get his own ball)
J Cloke(crossroads for Jason, like him as a player, gives his all-is that now good enough?)
C Cloke(needs to get fitter, more mobile)
Holland(see Morrison)
King(not good enough)
Maxwell(don't think he's good enough, a good soldier, bit like Betheras)
Williams(not here next year)
Billy Morrison(done nothing)
Lokan(not up to it)
Swan(too slow, could be given a go instead of Yakka or davies though)
H Shaw(When Yakka, Egan, Davies or Rusling don't play, Heath should)
B Shaw(same as above)

Fanning(Play him if Richards or C Cloke don't come up, prob worth keeping for another year)
O'Brien(interesting type, might be worth a run at some stage, prob rookie again next year)
Leonard(been injured for 2 years, when he's fit, play him in the ones, get a look at him, if he's no good, send him home)

Its a nice idea though it will never happen, Mick loves his fat arsed midfielders. I particularly like that young and mobile forward line, if those players develop like we think they should, its a pretty scary one.

The thing I disagree strongly with is Maxwell. Immediately substitute him for O'bree. Cheesy should not get a game in front of Woey, Lockyer, Morrison or Caracella. King I still think could be something in a forward pocket also, though seems a bit slow.

I'd also dearly love Josh in a forward pocket, even 90% fit. Have Leon on the bench and rotating through the midfield, with the occaisional rest in the pocket if switched on, bench if not.

Holland has been solid and deserves a spot in front of a young bloke or an Obree

Shane Obree has been the worst and softest player in the Collingwood side for 3 years and needs to stay in the mid field so next year when we trade him we can get some thing for him.

what has gone on with him? he absolutely blitzed when he came down from Birsbane, 2000 definitely, cant really remember 2001...but has really gone to ******** since, excpet for that 1 great game against the power over at Moron Park

there could very well be a team who will punt on him ie: change of scenery etc. but all we would get is either pick 76, or a player like that Veale bloke at Bulldogs or Damian Cupido

I think it's good to play the kids, but in moderation. You can;t just throw them in all at once. What happens when we play a strong bodied team like Port or Brisbane? They will get smacked around and lose by 100 points.

There isn't much to gain from that.

I think you were a bit harsh on a few though.

Maxwell is getting better every game, he's got a bit of flare in him, doesnt get pushed around and walked on, give him time when his body matures, and i'd be pretty confident he'll get there.

Disagree big time with cole. if any player has not performed this year (many havent) but Cole is top of my list. He's been woeful, definately wouldnt be in my 22.

J Cloke is in big trouble i think. he'll be desperate to stay and play with his brothers, but i think he's going to have to stay injury free and have a big 2nd half of the year to be safe come trade week.

Big wrap for jaca, egan and rowe. all showing good signs, with a bit of game time under theyre belts, they'll be much better for it.

going backwards with blokes like Morrison, i know he adds a bit of experience, but really, i'd much rather heath scotland running around through the middle than Chad.

We're in desperate need of a ruckman! how much time are they going to give to Davidson? im worried he's going to turn out like a danny roach, huge wraps, but never seen.
We should have bent over backwards for spider when he was up for grabs, i still believe it cost us a flag.
