Oh Pies, what a performance.

1 goal against you for 2 and a half quarters and you still couldn't win.

I don't mean to gloat, but it's great beating Collingwood, especially like that.

I was sitting next to a typical Collingwood bloke yesterday, You know the sought, loud, one-eyed etc,

He was quite chatty, going on about how Sav was useless and stuff like that, until midway through the third quarter when his mood suddenly changed from one of friendliness to one of absolute cockyness, at this point the score was 7 goals to 1, I guess he had every reason to think this way, surely they couldn't lose from this position.

Geelong got a couple of goals back and I made mention to an elderly Geelong supporter sitting behind me that 'Geelong were in the same position last year against Collingwood and won'. I was trying to keep positive, still thinking we had no hope.

On hearing this comment the magpie fan said, 'we're better than last year, there's no way you can win, you've got no hope', this with the margin 26 points and the day getting better weather-wise by the minute, I stayed quiet and didn't argue with him.

From that moment on, Geelong kicked 3 in five minutes to trail by only 10 points at the finals change. They would go on to kick 7 of the last 8 goals and snatch it.

At the end of the game, I turned around to see that he had vanished into thin air as soon as the siren went. UHHHHH.......

What gives Collingwood supporters the right to be so cocky, especially mid way through the third quarter with only 4 and a bit goals the difference.

What gives some, not all Collingwood supporters the right to think that they have it over everyone, I'm sure Eddie would have been laughing in the superbox thinking about percentage.

They bag North because their supporters don't turn up. Why would they bother, they know their team is going to be in the finals every year, thats when they turn up.

The say Essendon supporters are arrogant, they have every right to be, their team is super.

They give StKilda supporters hell because their side has lost a few games, at least StKilda has been in the finals more than Collingwood recently.

And the bagging the Geelong supporters were receiving yesterday was a sight to see.

Geelong could not have played any worse, it is physically impossible. Yet they still won, that represents character and guts, something Collingwood is yet to master both on and off the field.

The fact remains, Collingwood's team is CRAP, when will their supporters ever learn.

There is still nothing sweeter than beating Collingwood.

THE END

Hey gocatsgo, GET STUFFED YA PRICK.

Only until Geelong passes Collingwood in premierships can you start calling us crap.

How many premierships have you lot won?? 7?

Keep on going loosers, 8 more cups until ya pass us. HAHAHAHAHAH.

"Good Old Collingwood Forever"

Geelong is crap as well, as least we can admit it.

Going over old wounds like premierships are we, that really hurts. NOT.

The fact remains Collinwood have won just as many flags as Geelong since 1958, but have lost more Grand Finals.

Collingwood supporters still can't face that fact.

CJ, I was expressing an opinion on the cockyness of SOME Collinwood supporters, you have just enhancd my point.

I'd like to know, what gives some Collingwood supporters the right to think they are better than everyone else, when clearly they are not.

GoCatsGo some of us may not be better than anyone else, but all of us are better than you.

You are just hiding behing a smokescreen of bourgouis cliches.

By the way, we never had to change the name of our players to cat food to get media attention. You need to b/c your team is so boring its the only way people pay attention to it. Collingwood is getting talked about more than Geelong even now with you in the 8 and us not. Why? Because love them or hate them people still want to hear and read about them. Just look at all the idiots who say The Footy Show is really the Collingwood show, BUT THEN STILL WATCH IT KNOWING THIS!!!!
Sleepy Hollow and handbags and primadonnas down the Princes Highway are as interesting as the sewerage farm you pass on the way which you dredge to spew out your posts on this board.

Get a life. Oh and get a real footy team, not a Charlie Clymo handbag 22.

Testy aren't we pie fans!!!!!

We need a bit of media attention like everyone else because you hog the limelight,

Personally, I'm sick to death of hearing about Collingwood.

By the way, MagpieGreg, You're telling me that giving away a Volvo wasn't a media stunt to get attention????

It was a ploy to get people to attend Colostomy Park. Buckley didnt change his name to Volvo for one week. Changing your name is like selling your soul. But when you are as desparate for money as Geelong are anything seems like a good idea at the time. Apparently, Bomber Thompson is quite happy to retain his nickname b/c it reminds people he once was associated with a successful club. People will forget that in the next two seasons.

You're right, people will forget his nickname in the next two seasons, he'll become tabbythompson.

Just remember, Collingwood lost more money than Geelong last year, will the pies make a profit this year? Hasn't the Collingwood membership dropped, please correct me if i'm wrong. I know one thing for certain, we certainly will make a profit.

We budgetted for 23,300 members which would give us a $100,000 profit. We now have almost 26,000 members so that could be closer to $250,000 profit.

We also budgetted for crowds of 22,000 for home games at KP and 33,000 for home games at CS, so far we have averaged 22,000 for games at Geelong and so far 41,000 for games at Colonial (35,000 v Rich and 47,000 V Ess).

Just like Geelong, Collingwood made arrangements at CS, The Fremantle game which drew 33,000 must have been a huge succes, however, I'd love to know what the figures Collingwood hoped for throughout the season.

PS This isn't being sarcastic, I'm just interested to know.

gocatsgo,

You think Collingwood fans are cocky? Just read you own posting ya dropout. Ya can't get more up yourself even if ya bloody tried.

If you think we (collingwood supporters) can't admit we are crap at the momment, go pay a visit to any Magpies web site and check out the BB. I'll even say it right here, right now. COLLINGWOOD IS CRAP!!!!. Ya happy.

I like it how you had to go ALL the way back to 1958 since you lot last won a flag. HAHAHA. Also, your right about us losing more grand finals than Geelong. AT LEAST WE CAN GET INTO THE GRAND FINALS!!!

Talk about Bitter & Twisted - Pies AND Cats fans together !! Huge scope for professional psycho-analytical assistance - so many scarred lives. How can fate be sooo cruel. The spectre of that last Saturday in September .... the long trip home.

Still, chins up ! Hope springs eternal and all that. No one wants to reloacte you - you'll be able to continue to suffer in you original configurations ... and you don't have to pay another club $40,000 to attend your games.

Sorry CJ, but it was actually Collinwood who won the flag in 1958, did you forget that?

I was referring from 1958 on

Geelong won it in 1963, Collingwood won it 1990. 1 flag each.

I don't know how an additional 2,700 members will provide your club with an extra $150,000... Just points out the IQ level for geelong fans.

gocatsgo,

It's good to know that you know when Collingwood won their flags
smile.gif
. Also, if you were referring from 1958, then that means Collingwood have won 2 flags compared to Geelong's 1 flag.

And also, Collingwood has a 'g' in it.

Just a thought. If Garry Hocking had been hit by a truck after changing his name for 10 days but before the 10 days were up, would his headstone have read ' Here lies Whiskas, He is dead, and very stupid'?
