And a Sidebottom aka Frontbum
Apparently we had some interest in Sydney's Jack Maibum at one stage.
Middle name is Hoffein.

Unless you force a trade
That's what Dave is suggesting.

McStay deal won't be completed until DeGoey has signed.
If the Goo leaves then we will want to trade for McStay.

That's the possible scenario anyway.

Agreed, just interested by old mates statement. "Pies won't Sign McStay until they know for Sure that De Goey is Staying or Going"
Dave often makes absolute statements, but they’re just his opinion. It’s just the way he works, don’t take it too seriously.

BS. He owes the saints nothing. If he’s signed on and the club has said to not say anything to anyone until they announce it themselves he’s done nothing wrong.
It’s not about owing saints, it’s about doing the right thing, and when you listen to other mangers they always inform the other clubs first before the players re sign

So is the Tasmanian team likely coming in? Do we have a time frame? Would be interesting to think about because when their concessions start coming in you'd want to avoid rebuilding around that time. I remember quite a few clubs who were already strong staying up the top longer because fewer talent were available to those bottom/middle teams. We seem to be in win now mode but in 2/3 years I can see us looking to load up again in the draft. Hope we time it correctly.

Averaged 28 disposals and 5 clearances a game despite playing more time up forward. Reckon he’ll be a handy addition to the midfield rotation at worst.
Mitchell should be brilliant - if wins the first ball and we get the ball into our forward line quickly that will make a huge difference.

Sounds like it’s more about using any excuse you can find to criticise Jordy tbh.

De Goey and his agent holding us to ransom, with leverage that McStay coming as FA eliminates any compo for us if De Goey departs...?

they know the longer they hold on, the bigger the offer keeps getting. And agents reputations all hinge on getting 'more than offered by the incumbent club'

Hopefully from Saints and not Us

Sure hands and quick handball release would be huge for us. 2 way running though?
His pace is a defensive concern, but I doubt there is any concern about his ability to adapt to our game plan. This year our whole term learned our new plan, running patterns and priorities and most of them have less footy nous than Tom Mitchell

When accepting and rejecting jobs, you accept the position and then decline the other positions. And in quick succession. But you don't decline until the acceptance is 100% finalised, which Jordy's doesn't sound like it is.

Won't be until 2025 season minimum, given we're at the stage with Tasmania as Gold Coast were in during 2008 with the league seeking approval for their entrance, with the license only granted the next year in 2009 and their first season in 2011. Reckon you're on the money though we're cutting it awfully close, with the only difference being that it's only one team entering rather than two.

Isn’t JDG Agent a family member - not sure reputational accolades apply.

Who says De goey is De Going? Last I heard he had signed a 5 year contract and we were all rejoicing.

Then saints came out this Morning saying they still right into him
