So future trade picks have been given the green light.

I still stand by my opinion that 2 first round draft picks and Treloar is ours.

Then the forward? I'll leave that one to the recruiting staff.
You're probably right but looking at Beams' value last year, a first rounder and 2 second rounders seems equitable

If we play Reid forward we have our forward line issues solved. I trust our backline, Brown the experienced defender with frost, marsh and Goldsack competing for the 2nd and 3rd best defenders, chuck Toovey to compete with the thirds too. I think we should target another elite midfielder like treloar and for the love of god a player that can kick. We need clean disposal out of 50. If we could just draft or get anyone who can kick out of 50. We were told Maynard and Oxley were elite or very good kicks, both turned out to be a major disappointment with ball in hand. And don't give me this lack of games stuff, you don't just lose your kicking skills.

The kid is a gun SchuPie just like Beams.

We need him desperately at the Pies the last two weeks have proved that
If he has chosen the Pies then I think 2 first rounders is fair because he is ready to
go from round 1 in 2016.

The ultimate trade period for mine would be if we could somehow manage to snag Treloar and Motlop.
Highly unlikely I know but both of these players would slot in wonderfully.

I think thought it's more likely that we are focussing on Treloar who is a gun and only young. He is the perfect age for our side.

First round from 2015 and 2016 seems too much, although I suppose after trading in two extra top 10 picks in the past two drafts, we could go that way.

I think the Beams trade is a good precedent. Treloar is younger than Beams, but Beams is/was a better player. First round pick, second round pick and Ben Kennedy as the Jack Crisp steak knives?

For example Cloke, a fit Reid(the 2.6 goal averaging Reid from 2013) as the 2 key forwards.

Vickery recruited as a 3rd tall, ruck relief, one that averages around 10-20hitouts and kicks 25-30 goals in 25 games, similar to a Dale Hale if you will, whilst Grundy thrives as the number one ruck.

I like this better than Reid, Cloke and White to be honest, I like Vickery much more than White, taller and has potential to play alot better in the forwardline and ruck. Keep in mind, this is only if Witts must be unloaded to land Treloar.

Vickery I would not be interested in if he has to play the second forward role.

Gives GWS the absolute whip-hand this future draft trading. Whereas previously you might have got away with a 1st & 2nd round, now GWS will be asking for 2 1st rounds
That is why I am saying two first rounders.

What we have to keep in mind is every club in Victoria will want him.

The key is for him to choose us the rest will work itself out.

P.S Unless one of our players changes their surname by depol and he states he ONLY
wants to play with his brother! :straining:

Vickery ain't going to be cheap. I think the trade cost of getting Vickery (and then paying cap space to White not to play AFL) is greater than the improvement Vickery represents over White.

I think the Treloar cost might be similar to Beams, and a good starting point. Hiwever the difference is the contact situation, given Treloar could walk (where Beams couldnt due to contract) theb MAYBE Treloar is worth slightly less than Beams on the trade table.

So with that life of thinking, 1st+2nd round picks for Treloar?

Maybe BenKen off to the Crows for a second round to get us back into the draft?

i read an article on treloar and it makes sense to me.. for his size and lack of aerobic capacity is he really worth $750,000. That type of cash is reserved for the elite.. is treloar elite like top 30? or does he have the potential to be an absolute elite player. $750,000 is a lot. hes never going to be your dangerfield fyfe type.

What were Dangers stats at 22? I'd like to see what kind of numbers he was putting up at the same age as Trealor.

Still not convinced we're getting him. All this hype is just asking to be shot down :(

Yes. There or thereabouts... Of the top 50 contested possession winners in 2015 only Pendles has a better disposal efficiency and Mitchell and Shiel are on level pegging so the kids a jet. The more important question is the trade value!
