Am I missing something here??
I understand the BF posts stating the deals will get done, however it is more so out of hope rather than belief. Our deals were supposedly straight forward and media, GWS and the Pies have been claiming since last Monday it will be done tomorrow and now less than 26 hours before the end of the trading period we are no closer to the end than we were 10 days ago. However, suspect trades appear to be happening around us?. Why are we sitting idly whilst Rome burns?, without even a whimper. Even Richmond is showing more of a fight over Yarran than what we appear to be over Treloar/Aish.
Yes, it will be great if the trades go through, but if GWS, Carlton and Brisbane are deliberately stalling and we do nothing then what?
Its probably in Carlton's interests to stall as they have 1st crack at any Free agents.

Whimpering is not needed Roverjg. Calm negotiations will suffice.

Do people understand at the end of the day Collingwood actually has the power..

If GWS dont trade him they will be without anything. We still have our 2 first round draft picks and Treloar will go to the draft and most likely get to us with some creative work. There is no way this will happen as GWS will deal.

Then nothing thats what
And we move on
Its quite simple
Either it happens or it doesnt
We will still field a team round 1 next season.

Oh, treloar will be in that team, assuming fit etc

I'm still confident this is all smoke and mirrors and we'll get both.

IF we miss out on both, this would be seen as a massive fail with irreparable short term damage done noting the offloading of Seedsman, Freeman and Kennedy along with other list changes.

The media and the AFL have got exactly what they wanted - the heat is off 2 Hawthorn players embroiled in a sexual assault scandal and the Magpie army are starting to eat their own.....It's a perfect scenario for eveyone outside of Collingwood.

Relax guys.

Eddie probably just wants to steal the limelight and media space by building suspense so everyone talks about Collingwood, then announcing both treloar and aish on the last day for the double whammy and more talk around Collingwood :) smart pr

Crikey, the Chicken Littles need to take a deep breath and step away from the computer. For your own mental health, go out and smell the flowers. Get some fresh air. Go for a run. Boff your partner -- failing that, just watch some porn. Y'all gettin crazy, and it's a dismal spectacle.

Pick 24 was the Saints pick so not sure how the Swans gave it away. I think they got pick 24 in the Carlisle trade.
Yeah, ok, they got that from StKilda, and traded up to pick 23 from Essendon.
But in effect then, they traded pick 14 and Bird, and got 23 and 44.
Trade out 1161 points, get back 1177 points, and lose player Bird. That puts Bird's value at 17 points (around pick 72).
Would have been nice if Pies did a swap of picks with Swans at around those vales, to get pick 14.
