Crikey, the Chicken Littles need to take a deep breath and step away from the computer. For your own mental health, go out and smell the flowers. Get some fresh air. Go for a run. Boff your partner -- failing that, just watch some porn. Y'all gettin crazy, and it's a dismal spectacle.
Thank you.

There are no other teams.
No doubt these deals are complex when significant egos are involved. Hine knows the games and has negotiated some terrific outcomes in recent years. I don't think Gubby Allen will have many friends left at Collingwood though.

Am I missing something here??
I understand the BF posts stating the deals will get done, however it is more so out of hope rather than belief. Our deals were supposedly straight forward and media, GWS and the Pies have been claiming since last Monday it will be done tomorrow and now less than 26 hours before the end of the trading period we are no closer to the end than we were 10 days ago. However, suspect trades appear to be happening around us?. Why are we sitting idly whilst Rome burns?, without even a whimper. Even Richmond is showing more of a fight over Yarran than what we appear to be over Treloar/Aish.
Yes, it will be great if the trades go through, but if GWS, Carlton and Brisbane are deliberately stalling and we do nothing then what?
Because it looks as if GWS want pick 28 from Carlton. Carlton will get pick 28 from Adelaide in the Menzel deal (trade 1). Pick 28 (and pick 20/21) will go from Carlton to GWS as a part of the four player deal (trade 2). GWS will then have pick 20/21, pick 27 and pick 28 in this years draft, presumably they don't need all of them. As such, pick 28 will likely come to Collingwood as a part of the Treloar deal (trade 3). Due to Brisbane having academy kids they want to pick up this year, they're likely to want two second rounders this year to help pay for them (which might be why we haven't done a deal for pick 26 and St.Kilda's 2016 second rounder). Finally, we might give up pick 26 and pick 28 for Aish (trade 4). Brisbane might want to pick up Bastinac from North with pick 26 or pick 28 (trade 5).

However, why can't GWS just give us pick 27 now and be done with it? Because they then don't have the insurance of holding both pick 27 and pick 28. So understandably they want the Carlton deal to go through first (although they might be angling to get both pick 20 and pick 21 from Carlton). At the other end, what if North won't take pick 26 or pick 28 for Bastinac? Will Brisbane take pick 26 and pick 28 for Aish without assurance that Bastinac is coming for one of those picks? What if North want a pick in the low 20's for Bastinac? Will GWS give up pick 20/21 for Treloar? Would Brisbane give up pick 20/21 for Bastinac instead of pick 26?

Of course, I'm just speculating here (and likely to be wrong), but it's a very complicated process with other deals constantly hinging on other deals. Just because Hine isn't giving us hourly updates doesn't mean he isn't working his backside off to get deals done.

There's this really frustrating need for instant gratification throughout this thread. Dominoes clearly need to fall before we can land our players. We're the ones getting the big fish here and as such we'll get our players last. GWS and Brisbane are going to want to make sure they'll be satisfied first before giving up two very good young players. There's a reason that trade week goes as long as it does and it isn't to appease an impatient AFL supporter base.
