My vote can be bought. You are also in the running for the super Greek wog boy poster of the year award but you might have to fight Spartan Magpie for that and he's been watching 300 a lot. I mean A LOT!! so it could get nasty

I guess it's an outside perspective but I would say compared to 2 years ago
Cloke is a high wage
Reid is a high wage
Greenwood and Varcoe are on the same coin as Daisy and Beams were on with their final contracts
We had a few on the veterans list as well.
Cloke signed up in 2012 until the end of 2017, I wouldn't call that high now, certainly his wage won't be high after his contract expires.

It's highly doubtful Greenwood and Varcoe are taking on the money earmarked for Thomas and Beams. I think it's more likely they're eating up the Lumumba and Maxwell money. Maybe another 150k more.

I know it was 5, 25 and Crisp for Beams however look at what Beams achieved in comparison. He was already a top 10 mid in the comp and an AA to boot. Proven elite quality.

The new trade rules will add flexibility but I wouldn't pay overs for Treloar.

Projection? It's about what we are buying now. Beams was a top 10 mid and AA to boot. Treloar isn't in the same class.
Of course projection comes into it, on that theory Scharenberg would be worth a 3rd round pick. Injury history, age, potential, and recent form all come into determining a players value.

the thought 0f trading cloke is wrong we have nothing yet to replace him with yet. hell far down the ladder u want to go
td u thought last half the season was bad, how about the whole season like shit, a lot
of key boarders want to trade nearly every one. do u want a total rebuild and last on the ladder
or a chance to play finals
This is what your post reminds me of:

Yea Treloar is worth pick 7 plus a little more. He's not at the same level of Beams at the same age.
No no, apparently Beams was carried to his Copeland trophy and AA selection when he was 22 by Swan and Pendlebury, rather than out performing them. Just ask on the GWS board :drunk:

It's quite laughable that GWS think Treloar is worth more than pick 7.
I mean compare his career to Beams' and it's not even close in output and achievements. Pick 5 and a fringe player at absolute best ala a Jack Crisp. No way he is worth 2 picks.
Pick 7 is actually worth pick 4 in an academy bidding situation with the 20% discount GWS receive, if GWS need to use that pick on Jacob Hopper who is touted to go top 5. That's a bloody good pick.

No doubt, he's not in Beams class yet. Has the potential to be something special. That said, I expect to hand over another pick. It won't be 2016 1st rounder, but I expect it to be another pick, not a player. That said, GWS, have made a habit of trading in players and getting the other club to pay some salary for that player. I could certainly live with that.

Seriously what are we thinking / doing chasing this muppet ? Not what we need, we should be going hard for, Dixon, Carlisle, Day, Kruezer, Motlop or Yarran, surely throwing money at any two of these would be massive for us..
Enough of. Treloar crap!

Treloar looks quality high possession mid.
That would compliment us and assist in someone to take over from Swan.
Agree we need some more quality key forward type(s)
Moore in time should fill this.
Big wish is Freeman becomes what he appears to be, elite running type

We will land someone we want this year i can see it
I agree. After saying we have a warchest of cash etc
We are way to much of a prous club and eddie is to much of a proud supporter to see his club go down further.
He will do everything in his power and we will land aome good players.
I still think we are in for a chance with danger also

Aish for 3rd rounder (47) and Seedsman or second rounder and Oxley
Treloar for 7 and 27 or add Hampton for 7 and next years 1st
Leaving someone out the door for a second rounder possibly Fas
McKenzie is quite good but clearly on the nose at GCS. For me he is going from ther and he is clearly better than Suckling. Could he be extracated for a second rounder
