Rofl. Top 10 pick for Aish? Yeah ok... That's more optimistic than 90% of even Lions posters are. Looks like they've been reading the Big Footy trades and draft board for Treloar's value too. Clearly worth more than Beams was...
Agree, it's arguable if Treloar is worth less than or equal to Beams (potential vs proven output), but Treloar certainly isn't worth more. In terms of the Beams trade you can forget Crisp as we also gave Brisbane a later pick, so the trade was pretty much one early 1st round and one mid 2nd round pick.

I'd imagine the 'pies start negotiations with our 1st round pick on the table, but will likely settle at our 1st round and 2nd round picks, perhaps with something small (fringe player or pick) coming our way.

In terms of Aish I'd offer 2 second round picks (obviously can't do this if one goes to GWS), which should be enough for Brisbane to get the points needed for one of their likely first round academy players.

I completely agree with the fact that witts and Grundy won't work together, but the issue is that at the start of next season, the afl has suggested that the Sub-rule will be gone. So the convential 2 ruckman will be needed or the pinch-hitter( Leigh brown, tippet, lynch). Now, we probably won't play White in the afl team ever again- barring injury.
If we trade Witts, we have nobody to pontenially take the secondary ruck position. Cox won't be ready till 2017. And Moore is too young to shoulder the 2nd ruck duties with his fragile frame.
If we trade Witts, it would have to be for a first rounder that we either on-trade/draft for a KPF.
Ideally, trading witts to Sydney for Sam Reid might be good. Or even just chasing weidman. But either way next year, we are gonna have to need a secondary ruckman. Hopefully, he's a decent KPF and that will allow Reid to go back.
not sold on wits Grundy not being a good tandem together
It could still come, with a bit more natural maturity

Has been in super form of late after several injuries have given him opportunity. Is he a good user of the ball? We really need to bring in players who can use the ball well by hand and foot and not just find it.
He would be a 2nd rounder I would have thought. Be a good get for us. Staggered if he leaves.

His best is brilliant, but he has been dropped a few times. They couldn't ask for more than a second rounder for him. I'd have Hall over Aish in a heartbeat. Mind you, if trading in Aish was purely to convince Scharenberg to sign on, then bring him in.

Different to Ketchup but apparently we won't have to worry about trading for Treloar.

Punt rd have done a WADA and come OTT. Our finish to the season has not helped.

Would we prefer Aish + Hall othis trade period? Or just Treloar by himself?
Whatever we do should be good this year...I'm looking forward to Trade week.
But I still want to land 'The Weid' somehow..please footy gods...give us Treloar, Weideman & some other bonus (Aish, Hall, Reid)...not asking much..am I?
Oh...& Scharenberg to re-sign & Freeman to be 100% fit 2016...
Oh oh & Clokey to kick straighter...
That's all...

Reckon there will be some surprises once trading starts, spoke to a recruiter from another club and said back door convos are everywhere and don't want to raise names that land in the media.

I doubt it. He's in the thick of it at GWS and would know what they're capable of, and yet, they're going downhill much the same as what we are. They just had a loss just as bad as what we did on the weekend.

Treloar would be smart enough to know that a reflection of our true ability would be the game against Sydney when our season was still alive (or maybe our 5 point loss to Richmond earlier in the year which we should have won).

I'm not stressed.

For all we know, GWS may have indicated they'd be happy with pick 7 but not 12+.

Wonderful news. Hopefully Collingwood will wise up and keep their first round pick and draft a tall forward that we actually need instead of trading for another midfielder which we have a dozen of.

Jeez short term memories and all.... Oxley has played 18 games in all and his first half of the year was excellent, So what he's not quick, but he's hardly a slug, great ball user and finds uncontested footy in a team in need of that sort of player.
Give him 2 years and he's a 25 to 30 possession a game half back or wing.

There are others that i would give up before him to gain Aish because this one could really bite us in my opinion.

Agree in part with the above. Oxley was great in the VFL on Saturday. His skills really stood out and he kicked a couple of nice long goals.

I was disappointed with his last few AFL games and his unwillingness to put his body on the line. However, after watching the VFL I wouldnt be so quick to put him up for trade.

Would be nice if he had pace, then he could get away with being a bit soft.
