I'm in two minds about Scharenberg and Freeman. I'd love both of them to stay obviously, the pies must highly rate the both of them to be taken so highly, and they shown a lot of faith in them knowing their injuries and the history of injuries as youngsters, but then on the other hand, you have one that has played a total of approx 15 VFL games and 4 AFL games in two years and you have the other that has played a total of 4 VFL games in two years and they're both now holding out for more money. We've shown a lot of faith and loyalty in this pair, it's time to show some of that loyalty back, I'm not saying for the club to just totally pay unders but I'm not saying for the players to hold the club to ransom either. We need to make a stand here otherwise, we're going to be screwed in the future. You have both Pendlebury and Sidebottom coming out of contract next year as well.

If these two want to walk, so be it, let's back Hine and I think Rendell is still there, let's back those guys in to find us a couple more gems.

Doesn't really make a difference does it?
Depends on your perspective, I like to enjoy the journey of being a Collingwood supporter, the what ifs... I'm sure others are the same, in fact I know so.

Frawley spudding up for Hawthorn tonight makes me smile, although I would have liked Clark to do well.

^Scharenberg has nothing to do with coin, all about his family.

Also reading very little into the Freeman story. Pretty easy target, simply run down the draft list and go through the uncontracted players. Aish has been done to death so move to the next highest pick, Freeman. Approach a desperate club (St.Kilda), who confirm interest if we can't get a deal done (well duh) and there's a story ready for print.

He'll stay, he is well within his right to negotiate and take his time.

Luke Shuey had similar injury issues to Freeman his first 2 years. Nek minnit - bog in a final.
Yeah I was thinking tonight that should be the aim with Freeman to get to that Shuey level. He has really developed into an accomplished midfielder and stepped up tonight.

That seemed like Wellinghams best game since the 2010 GF 2 as well.
