Aish was outside top 10 Brisbane B & F this year.
He is not elite.
Good average footballer (with good ball use).
If the draft was re done, he would be a slider...
He was injured off and on this year if I recall. Missed a few games so finishing outside of top 10 in b&f is not surprising. Some of his games in year 1 were amazingly good. He is still worth a first rounder imo. I'd be happy to give up a 2ND rounder and Seeds for him any day of the week.

We are going to struggle to get both Treloar and Aish.

Treloar is worth what we got for Dayne Beams last year. 1st + 2nd + player.

Aish is worth a first round pick in the teens (say 13-19).
Treloar is a jet but if he's worth as much as a legit top 10 mid in his prime then I'll eat my shoe.

How is Aish better than Seedsman? Seedsman has had some top shelf games and some ordinary performances among some injury interruptions. I'd rather keep the one we have than overpay the one we don't have.

My first thought was that it was a smokescreen.
Indeed. They could have come out with something at least plausible.

The idea that all of a sudden someone in a list meeting stood up and said - 'hang on a minute, we have three young rucks on our list, when did that happen?' - is silly or the height of incompetence.

Or, despite the entire football world knowing of Kreuzer's injury history...

"Wait a second guys....Kreuzer has missed a lot of football with injuries?! Why did no one tell us this?"

There's a little narrative on the Drafts board RE Kreuzer...

We haven't cooled on him, but playing it out in the media that we are to maximize Jarrod Witts value.

C4 mentioned we haven't cooled on Kreuzer and he has very good Carlton mail.
have you got a link? I'm assuming you mean C4[2]Yo`DooR and when I searched on his posts with the word Kreuzer in them there was nothing since Aug 27.

Edit: Never mind, found below when looking through his recent posts
The short answer is:

They haven't cooled on him.

Literally, the difference between Aish and Seedsman is their draft pick and age- but to to a lesser degree. Potential; Seedsman isn't going to be a great, whilst Aish is a "top 10 pick" so he will be preserved more with and could end up being a 200 gamer.

If Seedsman was a top 10 pick, we would be asking for a straight swap for Aish.

So your original drafted number is crucial for a couple years after your first year.

But I willing would give up Seedsman and 2nd round pick for Aish.

What do you think Melbourne could get for Jack Watts?

SEN reporting Scharenberg has signed up to stay with Pies on a 3 year deal.

Will be announced by club soon.
This could also help all but confirm Aish too? Hopefully.

Maybe

Fingers cross

I'm clutching at straws aren't I?

I'll leave now

Like hell Treloar is worth as much as Beams, and Aish no more then 2nd rounder and seeds. 3rd round and seeds is fair.
The thing is even if we use the Beams template for a Treloar trade, we are still paying less than what Brisbane paid us.

We don't have a top 5 pick that Brisbane had. The best we could give them is pick 7 and this could slide to around pick 10 after compo picks are awarded. It will be even worse if priority picks are awarded.

Treloar's output this year is very similar to Beams. I acknowledge Beams is better but not that much. Hence I think the pick downgrade from pick 5 we received to pick 7-10 we have to give up, including the same downgrade in the 2nd round, is fair enough to obtain Treloar especially considering how young he is.

What do you think you could get for Jack watts? I was assuming that was in reference to my statement that "your draft pick has some value for a couple years after your first year."

So Mr.Sarcastic, I was just emphasing that Jack Watts draft pick is no longer valid, unlike Aish.

It's Good_Old, thanks.

And where you were drafted shouldn't come into it at all for obvious reasons.
