Aish > Freeman. Absolute bulls**t if Freeman does leave, not good character from the young man at all. Can't see an attitude like that contributing to a premiership anyway.
Everything I've read about him suggests he's a great kid, so I'm putting a lot of this down to his manager and the media.

Seedsman for Mullet

We were linked to Mullet last for a bit surely?
I rate Mullet. I was cut we didn't pick him with one of our picks in the 50's in his draft year. I was shocked he went in the rookie, and he's developed as I'd hoped. Surprised if North don't rate him if they are after outside players.

So Freeman only stays IF Aish Stays Home?

Looks like they Read BigFooty
Seems like that sometimes.

I hope we keep Freeman and still land Aish.

Can't see why we can't do both with future trading.

Still if Freeman was to leave then we really should be after Aish to replace one top 10 pick for another and break even.

I cancelled it because I was on my way to getting a perma ban. Anyway, next years first is being worked to facilitate a complicated deal that if it comes off will be a very very good pick up for you, this is why you've not just blown us out of the water and dumped it on Treloar. Treloar will be a pie next year, Gale is doing his diligence as would Pert if it was the other way around, we are into someone else. That's all I'm saying. No more PM's please.
That's not what that word means. You could say "is doing his job diligently" which would mean he is applying himself to doing his job with care and determination to get it right.

"Due diligence" is a legal term meaning that you take the appropriate care in checking out a person or business before you sign a contract with them. But it is frequently mangled by a group of footy media personalities to refer to any kind of professionalism on the business side of things.

Sorry, it's a pet peave. /pedant

Would be happy to swap Freeman for Aish at this point.

Howe if used in his correct position as a forward would be handy as that medium tall option but the asking price is over.

Melbourne were using him in defence this season and God only knows why.

Is Howe a free agent (restricted?) or would it need a trade?

I'd take him on reasonable money if we had cap room. I like his ability to play down back as well as forward. Hawthorn has shown the value of having flexible players over the last 2/3 years. He's no worse than what the Sack does for us now.

If Freeman walks then that's up to him. If we've only offered a one year deal and he can get more at other clubs, considering the issues he's had with his body, then he should take it.

Howe is wanting $650k per season. He is not worth it.

His stats average for the year are as follows (he played majority of season at HF):
22 Games; K: 9; HB: 5.0; T: 2.5; R50's: 2.3; I50's: 1.3; Goals: 0.5; BH: 0.50

Compare his stats with that of Jesse White who played the majority of the season at HF for us.
18 Games; K: 9; HB: 4.5; T: 1.7; HO's: 4.4; I50's: 1.7; Goals: 1.5; BH: 1.1
