I read tonight that SEN reported Essendon are asking for a first rounder AND Jeremy Howe for Melksham. I know Essendon notoriously overrate their own players, but that is the single most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Pay a premium, get a cod ordinary, mid level plodder in return. Sure thing Dons! Are you high?
That can't be true, can it?

The line that 'one of Aish's suitors is still participating in finals' is something I've suspected for a little bit now, and could well explain his willingness to stay in limbo for the moment. I have a niggling feeling that the Hawks have been making some sneaky offers to him on the sly...
Well, if Hawks are keen, at least we know we're on the right track trying to recruit him.

Even if Hawthorn were to offer there first round selection from this year for Aish we have the option of doing the same with our 2016 1st rounder (assuming not used on Treloar).

I'm not underrating him! But two first rounders could potentially be a de goey and Moore.

Look at the Judd and beams trade. West coast and us where the winners out of those two
No it could be potentially Treloar and Moore or Treloar and de Goey.

We're only missing out on the possibility of one extra player as we get Treloar for one of those first rounders.

Not bad for a player they are only prepared to offer a 2 year deal for. Given his age and what he has been able to achieve in his career to date, I would have thought a early 2nd round pick would do it. Maybe we need to offer Seedsman to Melbourne

It's laughable, if true.

Okay so this probably wont happen and I think someone alluded to it previously but if Aish was to nominate another club and Freeman and Seedsman were both traded for 2nd round picks would people be prepared to pay a little over for Treloar in order to keep this years first round pick and possibly next years?

I'm thinking Treloar for 2016 2nd rd, 2015 3 x 2nd rd, 2015 3rd which will still land GWS a lot of points for this years draft.

Assuming Freeman was traded to St.Kilda, Seedsman to North who make the prelim and we finish next year in 8th place the points total would be:

2015 2,512 pts
2016 653 pts

Total 3,165

Equivalent of pick 1!
