Okay so this probably wont happen and I think someone alluded to it previously but if Aish was to nominate another club and Freeman and Seedsman were both traded for 2nd round picks would people be prepared to pay a little over for Treloar in order to keep this years first round pick and possibly next years?
I'm thinking Treloar for 2016 2nd rd, 2015 3 x 2nd rd, 2015 3rd which will still land GWS a lot of points for this years draft.

Assuming Freeman was traded to St.Kilda, Seedsman to North who make the prelim and we finish next year in 8th place the points total would be:
2015 2,512 pts
2016 653 pts
Total 3,165
Equivalent of pick 1!
I like the idea of it, but GWS will definitely want our first pick this year. This will enable them to pick up both highly rated academy players, plus possibly a top 10 pick to go into the draft with - so potentionally 3 top 15 picks.
Your offer would definitely generate enough points for GWS to get their academy players, but they wouldn't get their "top draft pick" until the second round. And being a shallow draft, there is no way they would agree to it.
Edit: it all really depends what picks are used to bid on their Academy players, Hopper & Kennedy. KM rates them picks 3 + 13, and if they ended up being bid at those picks, then GWS would be able to keep their first pick (8), use that in the draft, and then use 2nd+3rd+ 4th rounders to get Kennedy at pick 13, because that pick falls below the value of their pick 8.
If Kennedy was bid at pick 7 or 9, it might work out that they'd have to use their pick 8 to get him though, and then leaving with a 2nd round to draft a player, and in that scenario, it might work trading them 2nd round picks as part of the Treloar deal.
We'll just have to wait and see where they get bid. Should make for a pretty interesting academy+father/son bidding this year though.
