My guess this is only a guess is we will find out Aish is staying in Brisbane tomorrow
I would be dumbfounded if he stays in Brisbane after their public threats to him. I just cannot see how it would have helped their situation at all. I think Brisbane are just trying to feed the media with hope of him staying in some sort of F'd up way of trying to convince him it's what he should do. In saying that, I am only guessing too.

Only troll in that was the Paige part ;), I just saw someone accuse you of being Paige the other day in retaliation to you calling everyone you don't like Paige and it made me lol so I thought I'd run with it. I do sit firmly in the "I call bullshit camp" though. But just because I call bullshit doesn't mean I don't enjoy reading the elusive source material. I even hope it's true that they have a source and believe/know a select few do. But every second man and his dog thinks he has a source these days.
Who really cares. if people are worried about people getting so called credit on a footy forum, I think they might need to get a life or find something to do and chill out as it's the off-season. bigfooty will never change as much as people to shoot down and pick appart people on here. I've had my fare few people attack me on bigfooty for no reason and BEEG etc are just trying to post info to make others happy.

Bigfooty will never change, as much as you'd like everyone to see things the same way you do, there will always be conflicts of opinion. Deal with it.

There are no other teams.
Come on Paige, don't be like that. He has a point about most "sources" seemingly being bullshit. It is funny how most people are happy to accept information as fact if it seems like good news. They even forget about it if it doesn't turn out to be true. The really smart ones will word their "information" in such a way that means they can never really be right or wrong, yet they will accept credit for being right if it is remotely close to what was or wasn't said.
I'm not sure who you are talking about.

Politician, used car salesman, carny or lawyer?

They let Franklin go and won 2 flags.

The discussion on Cloke should not warrant such angst and wrathful replies.

Both sides actually have valid arguments for keeping or letting go of Cloke.

There is no doubt he takes the best defender sometimes 2 and removing Cloke from our side would leave a massive hole structurally.
There is no doubt an inform Cloke is hard to stop and a premier KPF of the comp (we haven't seen this version in a while)
There is no doubt given more support and better service as well as better forward line systems his output would increase.

There is no doubt his poor kicking has let the team down on numerous occasions.
On occasions he has missed our spread of goal kickers and targets went up making it harder to defend our forward line, conversely when we saw Moore go it alone we had no forward line and lost to Poo POO Melbourne so replacement KPFs must be had. Not sure he has missed enough games to quantify one way or another.
He undoubtedly has a great set of hands although since the glove grip removal he has dropped in this area too, he is leading less often which mean he is creating less space and holes for others to lead in behind him.
He is trying out wrestle his opponents this used to work but KPD have gotten stronger. Most can scrag and hold their ground enough to spoil him or at a min allow for the 3rd man in and there is almost always a 3rd in when he is stagnant and we bomb on his head.

Not sure what side of the fence I sit on this but I can see the argument to trade him now, while we are rebuild mode, it most definitely would slam shut any window in the next 3-4 years though...

I'd lean towards keeping him as the team improves so will he imo.:thumbsu:
Don't know where you get "angst" and "wrathful" from - I don't take the discussion seriously enough to get anywhere near emotions like that. Sarcasm is what I'm expressing. The point is that using the trading of Williams to compare to the proposed trading of Cloke is just silly because unlike Hawthorn at the time, we don't have two gun KPFs like Franklin and Roughead.

Hmmm, well now that you mention it, it does seem like I was describing one or all of these "professions".

I reckon most politicians get strung out to dry when they give false info, or at least get called out for it so it can't be them.

I reckon I'd know if I was being conned by a Carny but then again I do recall going to the Walbundry show as a child with $30. I was broke after about 10 minutes of trying to knock over the bottles with the money in them... Mother f....

I'd be pissed if I realised a used car salesman had lied to me (even though I'd expect it) so I'm not sure they could get away with telling me stuff that I'd forget if it turned out to be wrong.

I've never really had much to do with lawyers and I don't get into law shows because they are about as boring as bat shit.

In summary, I believe I must have been describing a Carny because I never felt any anger towards him after he'd skinned me... That $30 as a child would be like $3000 to me now. Yet the only person I was angry with was myself, but I wasn't even angry with myself, I was just disappointed, that's how angry with myself I must have been.

I don't know if i've missed the memo or im missing some greater reason, but can anyone give me a valid reason why when:

- Seedsman is half way out the door, Freeman is by all accounts a saint.

Why the Collingwood list management team has made it known they have absolutely no interest in Bennell, Jetta or even Yarran? In Seedsman and Freeman thats alot of pace walking out the door in an already fairly slow side, surely when there is those level of players available for essentially nothing(particularly in the case of Yarran and Bennell)?

I just don't get what im missing here, we are arguably one of the slowest teams in the comp and we are about to get slower yet we aren't even considering these three as viable options? Really i'd like someone elses opinion

Maybe we don't have the picks needed to get them.

Maybe we think their termperment is not right.

Maybe we have but decided there are other better options to peruse.

I agree we need pace, but not sure Bennell, Yarran or Jetta are the answer for a range of reasons.

GC have Picks 3, 19 & will get 10 for Dixon. They also will get Pick 16 for Bennell from Fremantle.

If Cloke was traded there, in addition to the quality youth they have on their list, the trading possiblities would be endless.

.. as well as that, the draftees need to have patient dispositions, reach well over 174cm, pass a rigorous douche bag test, and have a sound 'thigh to hammy muscle' ratio, to reduce likelihood of hamstring issues, free of compartment syndrome ... & not forgetting composure under pressure, a tackle to hurt demeanour, good game sense, ability to follow team structures, give off to a player in better position, willingness to play a role for betterment of the team, 2-way runner, great side step, good spatial awareness, neat disposal by hand & foot, receptiveness to tattoos & high endurance ..
So we are in the market for Jack Watts?

Interesting snippet in Jake Niall's article about the modern era:

'...A bursting salary cap also conspired against Collingwood, which was one of the youngest premiers in 2010, runners-up the next year and has since embarked on a rebuild that is as much cultural as a re-stocking of cattle. Collingwood's top players have not accepted "unders" in the manner of Mitchell, Hodge et al and it is not surprising that they weren't in the market for A graders from 2011-14...'
