I can see Saints taking Logue at 11 so we'll need better than 14 to get Logue
No chance the Saints will take a key defender - they need top quality midfielders. Carlisle and Goddard are sufficient for now IMO. I genuinely think he'll be at our current pick 25 - the only worry is Hawthorn and the fact that they now have pick 14 and potentially pick 13.

Talent wise he's one of the best but the demand for key defenders is pretty low this year. If the Blues nail Marchbank then to me, only the Hawks are a threat but with O'Meara and Mitchell linked, no way will they have a top pick.

I don't give much substance to what Carey ever says. Sort of bloke who would just make something up. But if Luke Breust is on the table we should be doing everything to get him over.

Should be a simple enough deal aswell with rumours of Mitchell, O'meara heading over, hawthorn need picks. We should have plenty.

Be interesting to see if anyone heads out the other way with Elliot, Fasolo ans bruest all playing the same spot.

Half the posts bagging Cloke is a load of shit. He got papers stamped early and was unfairly dropped during the year. Just another player Buckley couldn't be stuffed dealing with. But unlike Shaw, Lumumba, Wellingham and Dawes where we played them and got good returns this time the Buckley drops him so by the end of the year when he wants out we get SFA and left with White and Moore in the forwardline.
You think he was unfairly dropped. Was it in our best interest playing him knowing he was gone and taking game time from younger players. He was contracted for another year but wanted more. That's not the clubs fault. TBH the club got his contract time smack on because he wouldn't be in our best 22 heading into next year anyway. An extension to his contract was in his hands and unfortunately (or fortunately depending on what side of the fence you sit) was his own doing. Can't blame him for wanting to move elsewhere and good luck to the guy. Surely though we needed to blood some other options up forward. Buckley rearranged the forward line and tried guys in different positions. Grundy has started running out games better which gives White more time staying forward therefor improving our structures. White and Moore looked a lot more dangerous than Cloke's addition. Crocker was used and IMO looks to be better for the opportunities. Mids rotating through the forward line was more evident which made us a lot quicker and applied more pressure something Cloke gave up on 2 years ago.

Next year it looks like Mundy will be added, Fas will be back, Elliot hopefully at some stage plus Crocker and others so we definitely have more fire power and speed going forward. Cloke may suit someone else but he isn't what we need and won't suit where our game plan is going.

soft spot for Carlton out of pity
That pretty much ensures he goes to Swans or GC. If you are Bruest you say Swans, plus he is a NSW kid. Makes sense, straight swap Mitchell for Bruest is about right
Good call, do you think it's a straight swap though? Might be a swap of picks aswell, but it'd be close.

Cloke will run himself around in circles, confuse the hell out of anyone else in their forward half, take a mark in the square and promptly thread a point. What are you worried about?
So what you're saying is Cloke won't be paid by us:D be at another team but will still be benefiting the Pies. Gotta be happy with that result.
