Broomhead will be good if he's good enough. If he can't break into the side as a what, 23yo, then he's not up to it.
I have my doubts, but he has obvious talent and could have a break-out year.
As it is it's likely Wells and Broomhead will both get injuries over the course of the season.
Broomhead has not had a Good Run as he almost always Injured

I still stick to my previous comments, the club has gone cold on Wells. I still believe he will stay at North or be at Geelong. The two Bucks are referring to is Mayne and WHE. Those two fit more of the age demographic we are after, and as Bucks himself has stated the av. age of our list next year will be around the 28-29 age group.
You are the only 1 saying that

You do realise that the Bulldogs have finished 4, 13, 15, 15, 14, 6, 7 over past seven years. We started our rebuild a few years behind them. Similar story re Weagles a few years ago. No reason we can't be contending like them in a few years if core group of next generation (Treloar, Adams, Grundy, DeGoey, Moore, Aish, Maynard, Shaz, Elliott) stay on the park.

Things never as good as they seem, never as bad as they seem either.
I generally agree with this sentiment, however, there's plenty of ingredients that need to be mixed right otherwise they'll be no cakewalk, just a big collapse in the middle (ok, that was pretty bad)

Opinion: Reality is, Buckley is still unproven as a top coach. We've not done enough to suggest we can crack it against good teams........for part of the second half of the season. I heard the drugs thing upset the players, but for me this showed a lack of something special within the club to overcome a challenging period. Of course, I have this view sitting in my armchair, but I say these things from what I see and what I've heard.

I think we'll still struggle to make finals next year, sadly.

Back onto the topic of the thread, I'm for one at least glad we're not going after Harvey. The other 4, no idea, can only trust the club and the analysis and fitness tests, leadership qualities, longevity etc etc etc that they'll do.

Said weeks ago there was a reason Harvey was retired and that reason doesn't fit with Buckley's mantra. north tried to retire him 12 mths ago.

Yep. Not sure why we get sucked in by it all the time.

When you were in high school and heard 'rumors' a girl was into you, most of the time it didn't happen but you still get excited and even those girls that were not in draft calculations before all of a sudden had your 'recruiter' interested.

Well... same same.

Surely if we're only into two of Wells/Boomer/Mayne/WHE then we're going for Wells and WHE.

Surely...
Boomer's ruled out. My preference is Wells and WHE also.

Still, I believe nothing until the club accidentally releases a video of the player a week before their move is finalised.
