I still think as we dont have any picks as tbey will most likely be calculated to get brown and daicos. I would be very happy woth wells a very good ball user just hoping he can stay on the park. Brent harvey will also be a very good short term pickup until we get back in the draft still trains and looks as good as anyone. Also if he can chip in with around 30 goals from the forward pocket would be an amazing pickup. Mayne i dont think will be anything special but also may prove to be good pickup he is a good tackling pressure forward. Also before ross lyon got there he kick i think over 40 and then as always lyon got there and no forwards are able to kick goals.

Imagine if we traded Pendles for anything less than that 4 years ago. There would have been riots in the streets yet apparently two top 10 picks will do it. Genuinely laughable!
There has never been a trade done in the history of the game like the one you are suggesting...laughable indeed.

Mark Stevens briefly talked trades on Game Day this morning.

He put up a graphic with Deledio to
Cats, Wells to Pies, Vickery to Hawks, Cloke to Dogs and Prestia to Tigers. Nothing really new here.

Saw that same graphic about 2 weeks ago. Think Stevo has other things on his mind...like celebrating!!

The biggest problem I have with giving Cloke to the dogs is that they will be one of our main competitors next year. Similar game style and plan that will test our team to the very end. Why would we want to give Cloke to the dogs for a 3rd round (essential free)?? Because he requests it? It's a dumb trading policy especially when a new environment is likely to turn Cloke back into the match winning contested marking machine. I'd prefer to either trade him to Premiershipmond or let him rot in the 2's for his final year of contract. No special favours and past sentiment. He lost it by providing no value over the last 4 years and holding us ransom in a year that could have been. We owe him nothing!

Dogs are miles ahead of us. They still have kids playing great football that will go to an even higher level - I reckon they would have been planning to be a real GF contender from next year onwards but actually would've been content with finals footy and top 4-6 this year

I'm not sure its entirely Travis wanting out. The club are not an unwilling participant in this. He is contracted so to some degree its on us to get him where he wants to go. Otherwise he could dig his heels in ala' Witts and get paid $400+ to play in the twos. He can refuse to be traded anywhere else.
We have a history of getting players to where they want to go and this will be no different.
