With Cloke wanting out I was curious how you guys saw your KPP depth and probable structure going forward? Reid is your most important player IMO and think Bucks would love him forward and back but obviously not an option, So where do you rather have him play?

Crocker Moore Fasolo
Elliot White Varcoe

De Goey played a lot of footy forward this season but I assume his full time position will be in the middle going forward for small stints, Blair will play the depth tole well if you guys can stay healthy and Oxley, Thomas and Broomhead provide further depth.

Sinclair, Marsh, Scharenberg(Sp) and Howe can be a good springboard in defense supported by Reid and one of Frost/Keefe/Brown Unless you guys actively pursued another KPD like Eric Mackenzie and IMO would be the smartest move which could allow Reid to start swinging again, He's one of the better swing men in the game if his body allows him continuity.

Your midfield is stacked IMO and focus needs to be shifted to the talls at either end, Curious to see what Buckley does considering the pressure he'll cop now that he said he needs to play finals or else.

My feeling just got worse haha.

But surely 39 isn't high enough? Maybe the 27 we'll get for Hibberd?
No No No.. we agree to the first deal!.. :D

In all seriousness, if 27 was offered i'm pretty sure we would take that.
Ideally we package Cloke and Pick 25 up for a pick inside the top 15.

I'd jump at 19, and probably 27 to be honest. With glee. Why would Essendon want Cloke though? Genuine question. Daniher is coming on. Hooker, Hurley etc are returning. I'm not sure I see the fit.

From the articles I've read Cooney's injury is different to Jom's. I'll let you explain the difference.
I don't really care about the difference, as I'm not privy to the details of either player's injury and/or recovery. I was pointing out the error in your "patella tendon injuries don't end careers" statement. A reasonable approximation is that 50% of the time they do, directly. Then there's those who do get back to sport and can't play at the same level, therefore having their careers ended prematurely, relative to those who suffer other common injuries.

I think our forward line worked best this year when we became less reliant on talls. From next season Moore will be the main man. White has had a good year and should be retained as a mobile tall forward who can pinch hit in the ruck. Then there is Cox who has the potential to improve on his 2016 form. Fasolo and Elliott (fingers crossed) to come back in will help and then hopefully we get a better crumber than Blair.

We don't necessarily need a Cloke replacement in my opinion.

I'd certainly back Cox to kick at least 17 goals from 13 games (Cloke's 2016)

This fellow makes sense. Hoorah for this fellow.

My amorous mood around O'Meara cooled significantly after our resident physio TRS gave us some sobering factuals. If we could land someone cheap but reliable in defence that would allow us to send one/either of Howe or Reid forward that would be a great move on the board.

Also like that you've got Crocker on the forward line. My forward line from earlier is similar to yours - which is how I know you're clever - but I popped Varcoe in there when last night I imagined it with Crocker. Nice work old boy. Howe/Reid would replace Varcoe who goes to a wing.

if you mean literally can they end careers of course they can. my comment based on a comparison between jom and cooneys injuries.

which injury would you prefer? cooney or jom?

Cheers :). Crocker impressed me in the few games I seen him play.

Getting players like JOM is always nice but you don't need him really, Especially considering De Goey will have more midfield time, Thomas is back in the fold and you guys unearthed Wills who I rate extremely highly and I suspect Buckley would too considering the kid loves a tackle.

Getting EMac now but the ultimate plan would target an up and coming gun from a weaker club, Say May/Lynch from the suns, If they have another poor season they would be attainable especially considering you'd have your draft picks back and the lure of a promising senior position.

Honestly think an elite CHB or CHF is what is between you and the 16th flag, Looking at Hurley says Buckley thinks similar.

Yep, I think you're right on the money. For a brief period the allure of a top midfielder turns the head but really a gun KPD I think would free up so many options.

Buckley mentioned KPP's both forward and back. I think it was last Friday night when he was the guest coach on SEN. He probably knew Cloke was out the door, and who knows with Brown as well. I do think its a need so the O'Meara thing does surprise me a little

That's interesting Pedro. Man I'm going to go bonkers (moreso) waiting to hear.
